---- With great effort and a ton of help from the driver, Angela was finally able to get Julian into the master bedroom. After seeing off the driver, she felt completely exhausted. Still, she got back to her feet for the sake of checking out the box of cash on the floor-all generously given by their wedding guests. To her, the happiest activity in the world was counting money. Being a programmer, she was pretty decent with numbers. As she counted stack after stack, Julian piped up behind her, "There's a gift ledger on the side. You can just use that to count the total." It would be much faster than counting the actual dollar bills. Thinking that Julian was too drunk to engage in any of the usual wedding night activities, Angela happily carried on counting the money. "That's not the same! It feels different to hold the money and count it." Julian sat up and asked, "Do you like money?" "Of course," Angela replied bluntly. "Even though you're rich, I'm sure you still like money, too." "Alright. I got it." ---- Julian's voice seemed to be getting closer. At some point, he'd walked right up to her. He bent down and scooped her up in his arms before hoisting her back to the bed. "It's our wedding night, Mrs. Fuller," he said reproachfully. Then, he kissed her earnestly. Angela had quite the night in store for her. It was long past midnight when the passionate storm finally came to an end. Rather than saying she fell asleep, it seemed more apt to say she passed out from exhaustion. The next morning, Angela woke up with a body full of marks. She was about to drag her tired body out of bed to pick up where she left off last night and continue counting the money, only to realize the room looked entirely different now. The soft mattress beneath her had been replaced by what looked like a waterbed, but it was filled with dollar bills. That being said, this was nothing. ---- Angela had to rub her eyes to believe that she wasn't hallucinating. She felt like she was still dreaming. The bed wasn't the only change. The cabinets, the couch, and even the dressing table were filled with money. Everywhere she looked, she saw nothing but money. Right then, Julian came in and remarked, "I only found out about your love for money last night, so there wasn't much time to prepare. I couldn't get more done. However, I've submitted a cash withdrawal to the bank. The bank manager should be delivering more cash soon." Julian took note of every single word Angela said, including her breezy replies from last night. It was as if her word was law to him. Angela heard how shaky her voice was as she asked, " Don't tell me you plan on using cash to line the floors as well?" "T won't do that," Julian replied in all solemnness. " That'll end up damaging the money, which is illegal. Plus, if I had to put a layer of transparent covering on the floor, you'd be more likely to slip and fall. Instead, I plan on using the cash to make a shoe rack for you." Discover our latest featured short drama reel. Watch now and enjoy the story!
