Chapter 17 A Blissful Morning I awoke from my slumber in Jonathan's embrace the following morning. Because of the magic of his arms and his calming heartbeat, I slept soundly last night for the first time ever. I never felt like I had met him a month ago, it was like I had known him for ages. He was sound asleep just like a baby with an open mouth which made him look adorably cute. My lips curled into a smile, and I closed his mouth by placing my hand under his chin. I was on top of the world after getting him, and I was thanking God every second. He was so captivating that I could stare at him nonstop. I admired my sleeping vampire with a smile on my face for a few minutes before again lying down, resting my head on his chest, not wanting to disturb him from his peaceful sleep. "From now on, his heartbeat has become my favourite music.” I gleefully murmured. Listening to the heartbeat of someone you care about is an incredible feeling. I didn’t know when I dozed off again. *** I awoke a few hours later. When I opened my eyes, I saw him gazing at me intensely with his lips curled in a glorious smile and his eyes glowing with unfathomable love for me. The best morning of my life was this one. I loved him so much, and it was pure bliss to wake up in his arms. I shivered because his touch sent chills down my spine as he gently stroked my cheek with his thumb. "I am pleased that I have gotten an angel like you because you look so gorgeous while you're sleeping.” As he murmured, my face mechanically flashed a dazzling smile as my heart danced with joy. ‘Did he just refer to me as an angel?’ I grinned with glee. "And I'm glad I found a vampire like you." We both laughed as I confessed. ‘God! When he laughs, he looks even more charming and attractive, and I hope he always stays this happy because I just can't bear to see him sad.’ I gazed at him, and my smile broadened as I saw him laughing. I can't express how delighted I was to see happiness in his eyes. "Jonathan, I love you so much." I just hugged him tightly. I didn't want to lose him, and I especially didn't want to see the pain in his eyes again. For a few minutes, we lay mutely in each other's arms. Our souls were talking in this silence. We were completely lost in each other because we found immense peace in each other's arms. A knock on the door startled us. I raised my head from his chest and smiled as I heard Mom's voice. "Mia, breakfast is ready. I'm waiting for you at the breakfast table. Come fast, sweetie.” I was on top of the world after getting both my mother and the love of my life at the same time. I had no other desire other than to spend the rest of my life with them. "Mom, I will be there in half an hour. I am just going to take a shower,” I answered. Suddenly, Jonathan clasped my hand and began kissing my knuckles, and I just beamed at him. "Okay, sweetie." Mom left after saying this. "Jonathan, thank you so much for giving my mom to me by killing the monster who had made my mom's life hell. You have no idea how happy I am, I…” I didn't know how to express my happiness because I was overwhelmed with contentment. "Mia, don’t thank me because you have no idea what you've done for me. For a hundred years, I had been living as if I were a dead soul. My life was completely filled with darkness, with no hope of light, until you came and changed everything; you made me fall for you and brought back the light in my life, the hope of a happy life." He admitted, his intense gaze fixed on me. "I'm always there for you, Jonathan. Just don't leave me alone." I implored, entwining my fingers with his. He whispered, shaking his head and gripping my hand tighter. “Never, I swear." I smiled contentedly as he sealed the vow with a kiss on my forehead. “Okay, I'm leaving because your mother wants you at breakfast. I'll return after taking a bath, and then we'll go to college together." He pecked my cheek, making me grin. These pecks were so precious to me. “Okay, my vampire.” As I pecked his lips and pulled away, he grasped my hair and pulled me closer to him before devouring my lips hungrily. He kissed me so quickly and wildly that it became difficult for me to match his speed. I closed my eyes and let the kiss wash over me. “Now this is a proper goodbye.” He breathed against my lips as he pulled away from me after making me breathless. “See you,” I murmured, breathing heavily. Then, with a blink of my eyes, he reached the window, and my eyes widened in amazement, seeing his speed. He turned to face me and spoke. “I'll be waiting for you outside. Come fast after having breakfast." I smiled merrily and slightly nodded at him. Still, everything continued to feel surreal to me, and I couldn’t believe that everything happened changed in a day; it was incredible to see him act like my boyfriend and treat me with such love. He beamed at me before jumping out of the window. “Today, I’ll go to college with him. I’m so excited.” I squealed and climbed out of bed, hurrying to the bathroom to take a shower because I couldn't wait to go to college with him. *** I opened the bathroom door after taking the shower and gasped as Jonathan suddenly appeared in front of me. "Jonathan, you scared me." I sighed with relief, placing my hand on my heart after seeing his face. My brows furrowed in perplexity as I noticed a searing smirk on his face. ‘He has a tempting smirk on his face, but why is he smirking?’ I wondered, perplexed. He suddenly yanked me to himself by grabbing my waist, making my brows raise in surprise. "You're looking incredibly sexy, my Angel." As he spoke hoarsely, I realised he was smirking because only a towel was wrapped around my body. ‘Fuck! I always forget everything after seeing him.' I muttered as I closed my eyes, and as he chuckled, I opened my eyes. "Your intoxicating smell is driving me insane, Angel.” He nuzzled his face in my wet hair and whispered in my ear. His one hand was travelling up to the towel knot, and his lips were brushing against my neck. My entire body was ablaze with deep desire, and his touch electrified my body with passion. "Jonathan, please go. I have to get ready. Mom will be waiting for me." I tried to push him away, but it had no effect on him because he was a vampire and far too strong. "So you want me to leave and never return-“ I immediately shushed him by placing my finger on his lips and glaring at him before he could finish his sentence. "Don't say anything like that. I never want you to leave me because the thought of living without you scares the hell out of me." I stated solemnly, my gaze fixed on him. He clasped my face, his eyes gleaming with remorse. "I'm sorry for what I said, Angel, and I'm retracting my words." My heart melted as he sweetly apologised, and I smiled at him. I was always touched and filled with tremendous feelings whenever he used to call me Angel in his sweet voice. “I'll be with you always, I promise.” He assured me that he would never leave me alone as he leaned in and kissed my forehead. "I'll be outside waiting for you. Enjoy your breakfast.” His eyes moved down to my wet body, which was only covered with a towel, as he added in a husky voice. “Your hotness is driving me insane." My cheeks turned crimson red, and my eyes lowered. "You look so cute blushing like this." He kissed my cheek softly, and I blushed even more as I gazed at him. "Now I'm leaving because if I stay any longer, I won't be able to stop myself from freeing your tits, which are begging me to yank the towel." As he spoke and grinned evilly, I felt a foreign sensation between my thighs and pressed my thighs mechanically. His searingly intense gaze filled with immense desire was fixed on my tits and driving me insane. ‘Oh, God! What the fuck is he doing to me? I’m so aroused.’ I was dripping wet and had to squeeze my legs shut to keep the strong sensation at bay. "See you, Angel." He again darted to the window and jumped out of it after winking at me. I walked to the window and closed it after glimpsing at him for the last time, still blushing. "Thank God, I came in the towel today."I exhaled a breath of relief because I usually came out of the bathroom naked in my room after taking a shower.
