Chapter 48 Once I get back I see that it is only 5:00 so I go to my computer. I log into it and start looking for my contact. I see his "name" on our chat and click on it. "Óplo" I type our code name so he knows it is me. "Kýrios" He types back so I know it is him. "I need your help with something." I said to him. "Of course you do. What is it this time?" He asks. "I need to fake a marking. Make it real, but make sure there is no bond. Any ideas?" I ask. "Give me a minute to do some research and I'll get back to you." He says and our conversation disappears. My contact is a very powerful wizard who I saved when the hunters had him. Contrary to popular belief the Hunters take all creatures. I see on the screen. "Óplo." I type back. "The only thing I can do for you is make it so when you get marked you won't feel the bond right away. You must drink this every day to keep the bond at bay. But even then the only thing it does is block the emotion sharing and sparks. Everything else will still be there." He says making me huff. If he doesn't know of a way then I am not sure what else to do. "You could do a temporary mark and drink the mixture. This will actually nullify the effects that the temporary mark will give you. Take it once a day at the exact time for a week until the mark is gone." He follows up. "I guess that is the best I got. I will let you know what I decide by the end of the week." I type back. "Look forward to hearing from you." He types back and the conversation disappears. I shut off my computer and lock the door. I go to take a shower then sit on my bed, thinking about how to bring this up to Alarick. Alarick's POV I could not sleep a wink last night. After seeing LeeAca sing and dance the way she did, made it impossible to fall asleep. And when I did all I could picture was her perfect lips and gorgeous green eyes. They all arrived within 30 minutes which tells me that they were all at the same place having a meeting. As we head up to the conference room I tell Markus to wait outside. Everybody takes a seat at the long table. There are 13 elders and me. "What is this about?" I ask them to make it known that I don't want to be here. Elder Chadrick speaks up first as he normally does to keep peace between me and the cocky elders. "Your Highness. We have all been meeting and came to the conclusion that there will need to be a challenge since LeeAca is not your fated mate." He says as calmly as possible. "A Luna challenge? You have been telling me that I need a Luna and once I pick one you want her to be challenged for her place? That is ridiculous, there hasn't been a challenge in over 500 years." I say getting irritated fast. "That is because the last three queens we fated mates. Your great, great, grandmother was the last of the chosen mates. She had her challenge, just like the others before her." Elder Bingly spoke up. He is one of the elders I cannot stand. He always thinks that he can tell me what to do and I will bow down to him. We need to ensure that the future queen is the strongest wolf we have. There is no need to make it a bloodbath, only until one is unconscious or submits to the other. No killing needed." Chadrick says and I see Bingly looking smug. I bet he has his granddaughter all trained up for the challenge. I bet a lot of them are. This is one thing I do not like. When they are all in agreement, there is no changing their minds and whatever they say goes. "I will talk with LeeAca and let you know what she would like to do." I say which only riles up Bingly. "What does that woman have to do with anything? She is not queen yet!" He yells which earns him a menacing growl from Onin. That shut him up real quick. "If she wishes to fight for the title I will allow it. But if she does not, then you all can rally the women who want the title and have them fight it out." I say as I get up and am stopped by Bingly's smug face. "Well then make sure you talk with her today because the arena is being set up for the end of the week. With the ceremony already planned for a month out we need to do it as soon as possible to ensure the ceremony details are changed in a timely manner." He says. My anger intensifies and if I don't get out of this office now I will kill them. I push past Bingly and slam the door behind me. F*cking great.
