Chapter 15 LeeAca's POV After I get back to my room and clean off, I go to leave the room when I see my sketchbook on the counter. I look down to see that the leather laces that hold it together are not tied. I quickly pick it up and sniff it. Beta Markus. How could I be so stupid as to leave that there. I was so blinded by anger that I forgot about it. "That is what happens when we do not have a way to let go of anger. We haven't killed in over two weeks and we haven't trained." Fen says. "Fen, I don't need this now. We start training tomorrow at the spot we found just past the forest line. We hunted today. Once we start training again we will be okay. I need to figure out what to do about the Beta seeing this." I say back worriedly. "Just tell him they are for a horror book you are wanting to do." She says confidently. "I don't think that will work, Fen. He isn't that stupid." "I would beg to differ." She retorts. "Sketch some superhero detective stuff on the pages behind it. He seems like he is a nerd for that sh*t." I grab the book and a pencil and head down to the kitchen. It will be fine. That is actually a decent idea, or at least an idea. Once I reach the kitchen I grab some ground beef and noodles to make some spaghetti. After I get everything ready I season the sauce and dish it out. I take my food and sketchbook to the dinner table that is in the kitchen and start to sketch. It doesn't take long for me to have a decent sketch of a detective squad in front of an investigative building. I turn to the next page and start sketching a scene where the two lead detectives are leaning over a child's body. Once I have the main shapes sketched out I hear somebody coming down the hall. I look up when I see Amara enter. She has a smug look on her face as she goes to the kitchen and grabs a mug. "Let me at her." Fen seethes. "Be nice. We don't feel any real hatred from her. Maybe she is trying to protect her brother." I try to reason back. "I made spaghetti if you want some." I say hoping my read is right and she really isn't a b*tch and starts something. "Hm." Is all the sound she makes and she goes over the stove and looks at the pot. "You made this?" She asks doubtfully. "Yes." I answer. "Why? There are servants for that." She says. "It is late. I am not so selfish as to have a servant wake up to cook me food when I can do it myself." I say and go back to sketching. I hear her grab a bowl and dish out some food and she comes across from me at the table. I continue sketching when she takes a bite, then I look up to see her eyes wider than before. "Wow. This is actually really good." She says as she takes another bite. "Thanks." "Holly sh*t I think this is some of the best spaghetti I have ever had. It is sweet at first then the after taste is spicy. It is weird. But good, weird. How did you do it?" She asks me. "I like to use a lot of seasoning." I answer her back with a small smile. Fen huffs at me being polite but doesn't say anything. "What are you doing there?" She asks as she takes another bite then points at my sketchbook. "Oh um. Just drawing. It's nothing, just something I do to pass the time." She gets up and moves to the seat next to mine. And looks down. I try hard not to close the book. I hate when people see the other stuff I draw. "That looks good. Huh. So you can cook and you can draw. What else can you do?" She asks curiously. "Uh. I guess you will have to find out." I say awkwardly. "Mysterious." She pauses then sighs. "Look I didn't mean to upset you earlier. I don't even know what I did to make you that angry. I just don't like the idea of my brother being forced to choose a Luna. Especially one he knows nothing about. It isn't that I don't like you, I don't know you. And if dinner is any indication on how hot headed you are I don't think you would be a good Luna or Queen." She says which surprises me at how blatantly honest she is. "I understand. I do get mad easily. Normally I am better at hiding it. I just haven't been in the right frame of mind since being here. I will not defend my actions because they were wrong. I am just sick of not having anybody here. I haven't been told what the hell I am supposed to do and it is frustrating. Most of the time I am in my room or outside in the garden." I don't know why I just blabbed all of that, but it kind of felt good. "So let me get this straight. For two weeks you have been either couped up in your room or sitting in the gardens. AND you haven't been told what is to be expected of you?" She asks, getting irritated. "Essentially." I say and smile as I take a scoop of my spaghetti. "My brother can be idiotic at times. No wonder you got so upset at dinner. Any little thing can make a wolf blow up if they feel like they are caged in." She says thoughtfully. Fen cuts in "Maybe I spoke too soon. I kind of like her. Blunt and thoughtful." "Look, I am going to go to bed. But in the morning I am going to take you around the pack so you can at least know the basics of where things are. This does not mean that I am implying you will be a good Luna, because of that I am still very doubtful. But every person should be given a tour of where they are intended to be for a while." I only nod and continue sketching. After it hits I go to my room and try to get some sleep. In Addicted to You movie, Audrey's biggest regret?
