Chapter 10 LeeAca's POV Two weeks later and it has been the same thing every day. Get up early, go out and scope the castle, come back, eat breakfast, wander around the castle, eat lunch, read in the gardens, then eat dinner and head to my room. Nothing has changed, I have yet to talk to anybody which is alright with me. Just weird. At least at home I had my family, Jona and Laura to talk to. I wonder how Maleena is. Maybe she finally asked that boy out she has been crushing on. I wonder if father is keeping an eye on her like he should. He is probably more busy with me not being there, so most likely not then. "Go and call them." Fen says. I nod my head and reach for the phone on the bedside. I pick it up and realize there is no dial tone and no numbers, just colorful buttons. "What the hell kind of phone is this?" I ask Fen. "What is wrong with this castle? First they have their rooms set up weird and decorated like they just throw extra sh*t in a room. Then we find out their security has gaps in it and now the phone. Seriously, this place is shi*ty." I put down the phone and sigh. "I know Fen it is pretty shi*ty here. At least we can go kill tonight. We finally found their gaps for getting out and back in." I say to her. "THANK GODDESS FOR THAT. I need to get rid of this pent up anger." She all but yells. "I couldn't agree more." I chuckle. "Why don't you try calling the servant area. Markus said it was the yellow button. Maybe they can help us figure out how the hell to call outside." Fen suggests. "Not a bad suggestion Fen." I smile and pick up the phone again. I press the yellow button on the receiver and a young girl answers right away. "Yes Luna." She says. I cringe at the title but say nothing. "Yea, um, hi. I am trying to call my family and I am not sure how to work this phone." I say. I probably sound stupid. "Of course Luna. This phone actually only calls to rooms inside of the palace. That is why there are no numbers. I will have somebody right up there." She says. "Thank.. "She hung up. I take a deep breath and walk to the patio, trying to calm my nerves since she hung up on me. This helps me calm down when I feel like I am going crazy in this place. Two weeks and I am having such a hard time. I hear the main door open and turn and walk back inside. There is a woman about my age walking in with a phone. "Where would you like it Luna?" She asked. I cringed at the title. I can't get used to it. Fen interrupts my train of thought. "We can help her." "Help her, what do you mean?" I say back and glance at her. That's when I see it. Light bruises along her upper arm and throat. She is trying to hide them. I feel her nervousness start to increase. "Yes. My apologies. On the table next to the sofa please." She starts walking over there and then starts traveling the chord to find the plug. "What is your name?" I ask. "Redna, Luna." She answers. "Goddess please don't call me Luna. I am getting tired of it. Call me LeeAca, Lee, or Ace. Anything but Luna." I say with a smile, trying to ease her. "Um. I can't do that Luna. I am an omega servant." She responds meekly. "I see. How about when nobody else is around? I truly cannot stand it. I am not Luna yet and I do not like people calling me something I am not." I try to reason with her. "Um.. Okay. Luna. If that is what you want. But only because you requested. Not because I am being disrespectful." She quickly states. "Thank you Red." I say. She quickly looks up to me with a questioning look. She has dark red hair that is in a loose ponytail that is trying to hide her neck and has blue eyes. If she were not in the sun you wouldn't be able to tell that she has red hair. "Red?" She asks. "Yes. You said that your name is Redna, and I shortened it. Is that okay?" I ask. "Um yes." She answers hesitantly. "So what do you do here?" I ask. "Um. I cook and clean. I also garden when they need it." She answers as she chews on her lip nervously. "There is no need to be nervous. I am not going to hurt you. I just need a friend. Somebody to talk to." I say. "But there are many other girls that you can be friends with. Why me?" She asks, shocked. "Because YOU are the one who walked through that door." I say. "But what if it was somebody else?" She argues meekly. "You'll come to learn that I am a pretty good judge of character. If it was anybody else and they seemed like a good person I would have talked with them. But fate would have found a way to bring us together. I know that for sure." I say, smiling at her. "Fate?" She asks confused. "Yes fate has a funny way of bringing people together who need each other." I say. "Hm. Okay." She says as she picks up the phone. "It is all set. Is there anything else that you need, Lu, or LeeAca?" "No, that is all. Thank you." She goes to walk out the door. "Wait. There is something actually. I would like to put in a request that you are to be my personal maid. Who do I put that into?" Surprise is written all over her face. "You shouldn't do that. There are more qualified Lady's maids that are here for you." She answers quickly. "But I do not wish to have them. I would like you." I state. "Yes luna. The person you will need to speak to is Ms. Louise. She is in charge of all of the servants." She says and looks down. "Thank you Redna." I say as she walks out the door. I walk over to the phone and pick it up. Thank goodness it looks normal. I dial my sister's number and let it ring. "Hello?" I hear her little voice at the end of the phone and smile. "Maleena. It's me. How are you?" "Ace! Are you okay?" She bursts out. "I'm fine, Little Sun. But I asked how you are first." I say chuckling a little. "Oh. Right. I'm actually getting ready for school. Can I call you back when I get home?" She asks in a rush. "Of course. You need to focus on school, don't worry about calling me back till you have time. School comes first." I say while hiding my disappointment. "Okay. Love you." And she hung up. That wasn't as nice as I thought it would be. But what else do I expect? It is 7 AM and everybody is getting ready for their day. They are not all stuck doing the same thing day in and day out. All of a sudden a huge fire starts in my heart and spreads through my body. It feels like I got injected with wolfsbane or silver. I fall to the floor and grunt in pain. Looks like he is f*cking around. I have no choice but to ride it out. In Addicted to You movie, Audrey's biggest regret? A one-night stand with Floyd, her secret love for eight years. Despite his arranged marriage and his family's troubles, he kept rescuing her.
