*Third person's point of view* "Assalamualaikum Aunty!" Rabia greeted Insha's mother, who was sitting in the drawing-room with Insha. "Walaikum Assalam beta," she sweetly replied. "How are you?" she asked. "I was waiting for you since morning, and you are coming at this time. Mehndi is going to start after two hours!" Insha exclaimed, disappointed. "Wait." Rabiya went and wrapped her arms around Insha. "I have good news for you, my soon-to-be bride," she said playfully, while Insha shyly smiled. "What good news?" Insha's mother asked. "I am staying here tonight, mummy allowed me!" She said happily, cheering up Insha and her mother. The mehndi function was over, and everyone enjoyed it, especially Rabiya. Every girl decorated her hands except Rabiya because she was busy decorating other's hands. *** "What are you doing?" Rabiya asked Insha who was continuously tossing on the bed, with her phone in her hand. Insha put it under her pillow, and shyly replied, "No, nothing." "Nothing, really? I thought someone would busy with her to-be-" Rabiya teased. "Nothing like that. Now turn to the other side and sleep, and let me sleep too." Insha said and closed her eyes, but Rabiya sat up and pulled Insha, who also sat up on the bed while creasing her brows and crossing her arms. "What are you doing?" Insha irritatedly asked and glared at Rabiya. "Inshu, I'm not here for sleeping, if I have to just sleep I won't be here!" Rabiya replied with a mischievous smile. "Yeah, you are right," Insha said and Rabiya smartly raised her eyebrow. "I know, I'm always right." Insha slapped Rabiya's arm for her over acting but Rabiya hugged her. "Inshu, I'm very happy for you!" She said and Insha hugged her back. "I also want to be happy for you in the same way," Insha whispered "You mean by my marriage?" Rabiya asked and Insha nodded while breaking the hug. "Hayyy, I even don't know where my Prince Charming is hidden," Rabiya dramatically said while as she placed her hand on her chest. "Shut up, drama queen!" Insha said, slapping her arm. "Tell me what do you think about your Prince charming, and maybe I'll find someone suitable for you?" Rabiya smiled at Insha's words. "My Prince Charming? He should be smart, good looking, caring, romantic, responsible, trustworthy, intelligent, polite natured, tall, loving, handsome, little bit arrogant, quickwitter and-" Rabiya was listing down her types when Insha started to cut her off. "Stop-stop, Rabiya, please stop!" "What's wrong?" Rabiya asked in a serious tone. "Such a daydreamer are you," Insha said, making Rabiya giggle. "I know, right? I have a long list for my marriage functions too!" It was Insha's turn to giggle now, looking at Insha's childish behavior. "It should be a grand function, the hall should be decorated with red and yellow flowers-" Rabiya was cut off again by Insha. "Okay. Fine. I'm waiting for the man who'll make your life colorful," Insha said and Rabiya smiled shyly. "You tell me something about our Hasan bhai," Rabiya mischievously said. "He is very nice," Insha said in a slow voice while lowering her gaze. "Inshu, you are blushing!" Rabiya teased, again. "Shut up!" Insha said while slapping Rabiya's arm. "Insha, I'm so excited! Tomorrow is your engagement, and the day after tomorrow, we are going to a wedding!" She said excitedly. "Whose wedding?" Iqra asked while checking her mobile. "It is the marriage of Papa's second cousin's son, our distant relatives," Rabiya told Insha. "Distant relatives! But you are excited as if it's Shayaan bhai's wedding!" Insha fired a satire. "Shayaan bhai! How could I forget?" Rabiya smacked her forehead and Insha glared at her, confused. "Inshu, Shayaan bhai is in love," Rabiya informed Insha and her mouth remained open for a while. "What. Are. You. Saying. Rabiya!" Insha said in excitement. "Sarah. Her name is Sarah and she is very beautiful, I saw her photo!" Rabiya happily sang to her. "Shayaan bhai, really? I can't believe it Rabiya!" Insha exclaimed and Rabiya nodded with a smile. "Such a...hidden personality is he." "I'm so excited about Shayaan bhai's wedding!" Rabiya sprang in joy like a little child. "Ohh my god! This girl is-" Insha said while smacking her forehead. "Five minutes back, you were excited about your cousin's wedding, and now you are excited for Shayaan bhai's- how much excitement do you have in your heart?" Insha irritatedly said while rolling her eyes at the childish behavior of Rabiya. " I have a whole lot of excitement in my heart and dreams. And, for your kind information, the day after tomorrow is the marriage of my father's second cousin's son, not my second cousin. I never even met him," Rabiya said and lay down on the bed. "And you are still excited for that marriage, what is special in that," Insha asked as she yawned. "Inshu, they are very wealthy, their marriage functions are lavish, and have lots of tasty food. I think that is enough to make me excited for that wedding," Rabiya said. "Rabiya, such a gossip addict are you!" Insha said and glared at her. "Hawwwww... What do you mean by gossip addict, you know what, if tomorrow wouldn't be your engagement, I would have slapped you harder," For some moments, Rabiya's mouth hung open, and then she said to Insha while throwing the pillow at her. "Rabiya! How dare you? Now save yourself!" Insha said smirked and threw her pillow on Rabiya. It has been only two minutes and they both were enjoying their pillow fight, with loud laughter. "Insha, Rabiya, open the door!" An angry voice stopped both of them from throwing cushions and pillows on each other. After putting down the pillow, Rabiya stood up to open the door. "What happened, mom?" Insha asked when she saw her mother standing at the door. She glared at the girls. "What is going on here? Did you look at the clock? It's ten past three," Insha's mother scolded. "What? 3:20?" both of them exclaimed, looking at each other, then at the clock. "Sorry," Insha's mother left the room after closing the door loudly behind her, hearing which made their eyes shut tightly. *** "Shayaan bhai, I'm offended with you," Insha, who was sitting on the stage told Shayaan, who was handing her a bouquet of flowers. "And, why so?" Shayaan asked, confused and Insha looked at Rabiya. Both friends giggled. Shayaan understood the matter. He knew Rabiya couldn't digest any gossip, and she always passed it to Insha. He glared at Rabiya but she continued to giggle. "Rabiya, can't you hold any secret information? " Shayaan scolded and she shook her head, making him lose his face's color. "Don't worry bhai, we are secret keepers of each other!" Insha proudly told Shayaan. Shayaan smiled a little at their act. "Sit quietly now," Shayaan said while narrowing his eyes at Insha, and glared Rabiya with fake anger. Then he stepped down from the stage with a smile on his face, and a beautiful image of Sarah in his heart. Both Rabiya and Insha giggled at his actions. "What was that? Why are you laughing like idiots?" Leena, another friend asked when she didn't understand the conversation. "Nothing, something related to Shayaan bhai," Rabiya said and dropped the topic. "Look there, Hasan bhai and his family!" another friend yelled with joy. *** "Thanks for staying Rabiya, you made my day more special," Insha said while hugging her friend. "Inshu, it had been fun. I'll be here at your wedding too!" Rabiya said and both giggled. "You have to wait for a year to attend my marriage," Insha replied. "Should we go now? Or you want to continue talking like this at the doorway?" Shayaan asked the girls who were making Rabiya's family wait for ten minutes already. "Bhai, tomorrow is one more marriage, and I'm so eager for that!" Rabiya told Shayaan who was sitting with her on the back seat, and Mr. and Mrs. Faiz were sitting in the front. They were on the way to their home. "Why are you so excited about that wedding?" Shayaan asked with furrowed brows and a smile on his face. "Actually, I don't know why, but I'm waiting for it," Rabiya said, and her brother smiled at her innocence. "You are nuts!" Shayaan said playfully and Rabiya made a pout. "Bhai don't call me insane, or else, I'll tell everything to papa," she blackmailed him in a whisper, and his face lost color. "Don't worry, I was just kidding," she said playfully and Shayaan took a breath of relief. "You will give me a heart attack one day," he said after a long sigh. "Bhaaaai, I'm waiting for your marriage!" She said in a whisper and acted like a child who demands something from her big brother, and Shayaan smiled at her wish. "and I'm waiting for yours," Shayaan said and pulled her cheeks. "Bhai!" She yelled "What happened, my doll?" Faiz asked in surprise when he heard Rabiya's shriek. "Papa, bhai is pulling my cheeks again! I don't like it!" she complained to her father like a child. "Shayaan," Faiz's voice laced with fake anger. "Pull it again from my side too," her father added, making everyone chuckle, but Rabiya made a cute pout. "I hate you all," Rabiya huffed like an offended kid and crossed her arms on her chest to pretend her anger. *** *Shayaan's point of view* "Shayaan bhai! Bhai!" I was brushing my hair when I heard Rabiya's call. I ran towards her room as fast as I could, to check if everything is alright or not. I reached her room, out of breath, and I was shocked by witnessing her. She was standing on the bed and crying badly. "Bhai..." she cried more after looking at me and I went to her. She was looking scared, and her crying made me more scared for her. "Rabiya, what happened, why are you crying?" "Shayaan bhai-bhai there is..." she said while crying and pointing out to the window. Is there a thief? I moved towards the curtain preparing myself. "Bhai, please don't go there. There is a lizard." Rabiya's voice rang in my ears and I sighed in relief. "Really, it's just a lizard!" I exclaimed and looked at her. She was still scared. "Rabiya, gudiya it's just a lizard," I told her, patting her cheek. "Bhai, there was a big, black lizard. I was standing in the front of the dressing table and....and...that lizard jumped out from behind the dressing table bhai. I am scared," she described the lizard as though it was a dinosaur, and I tried hard to control my laughter. "Okay, everything is fine. It was just a lizard, and you are a brave girl. Brave enough to scare her elder brother." I said recalling the incident when she blackmailed me to tell mummy everything about Sarh and me, and she laughed. "Bhai I want to talk to bhabi," She requested innocently and I simply nodded. *Rabiya's point of view* Wow! Shayaan bhai is calling my bhabi! I am so excited! "Hello, Sarah, are you free?" I heard bhai's voice and snatched his mobile and put it on speaker mode. Bhai was shocked. "No, I'm not free, but I can manage some time for my Shayaan after all-" She was saying but Shayaan bhai cut her off. He was looking nervous, embarrassed, shy, and angry at snatching his mobile phone. But I giggled when she said 'my Shayaan'. "Sarah, Stop! the call is on speaker mode," Bhai said in a single breath. "Sarah, Rabiya wants to talk to you," Bhai told her, and I disconnected the call. "Why did you disconnect the call?" Bhai asked me in confusion. "Bhai, make a video call." I ordered him, and he nodded after he gave a cute smile. She received the call, but I was standing on the other side of the mobile screen, and not bhai. So she must've gotten confused. "Shayaan, why does Rabiya wants to talk to me?" I heard her voice, and she seemed nervous. "Because I want to talk to my bhabi!" I said mischievously and took the mobile from bhai's hand. "I'm Rabiya, the one and only sister of Shayaan bhai, and I wanted to talk to the girl who made my Bhai a Romeo," I said and her face turned beetroot red, just like Shayaan bhai. I talked to her, and she was lovely, replying to each and every question. It didn't look feel like that she was a Ph.D. student, as I felt that she looked underconfident. After a long conversation, we put the call to an end. "Bhai, she passed as my bhabi, " Shayaan bhai gave me a toothy smile. "Thank you!" He said and pulled my cheek, again. "Bhai!" I yelled as I gave him a sharp gaze. "I like to pull your cheeks!" He said making cute expressions and I smiled. "Have you decided on your clothes?" Shayaan bhai asked, and I just gave a nod. "Bhai, all the best for the future! " I said and he left the room with a smile on his face. I was wishing her luck for future completely unaware of my future.
