*Third person's point of view* "Mummy, can I go to Insha's home for the nightstay?" Rabiya asked with a cute pout to her mother who was busy serving breakfast to her family. "Nightstay? No, meet your friend and come back home, before evening" Tabassum said while narrowing her eyes on Rabiya. "Mummy...please, tomorrow is her engagement, please," Rabiya pleaded again with her mother, who was in no mood to allow her. "Mummy, allow her to stay there, it's just for a night." Shayaan took part in the conversation while having breakfast, supporting his younger sister. "Shut up you both and have your breakfast silently," Tabassum said, looking at them with sharp eyes showing her disapproval. "I think it's better to be with your friend, after all, it is her engagement," Mr. Faiz said when he saw the sad face of his daughter, and Tabassum's eyes widened. Rabiya looked at her father and brother who were both smiling, and then her gaze went to Tabassum, who was sitting next to Faiz, her face red in anger. "Fine. I'm not going to stay at Insha's, I'll be back." Rabiya informed meekly, but she was sad inside. "Shayaan bhai, will you come to pick me up in the evening?" She asked and Shayaan looked at her, confused. "But why aren't you going to stay? Papa allowed you!" Shayaan shrugged and his father nodded in agreement. "I'm not going because," She got up from the chair, swiftly moved towards her mother, and hugged her. "I'm not going because I don't want to make my chubby mumma angry." Rabiya teased, and Tabassum's mouth remained open for a few seconds. "Chubby mumma?" Tabassum saw her naughty daughter with a smile. Rabiya playfully nodded her head while showing her sparkling teeth.. "Chubby mumma?" Tabassum repeated and pulled her ear lightly, making everyone laugh. "Now go, and pack your clothes." "Why?" Rabiya asked, confused. "Because you are going to stay at your friend's house until her engagement." Rabiya heard her mother and she jummed at her place as if she was a small kid. "Woo-hoo! Thank you, mummy, I love you so much!" She happily exclaimed while jumping on her spot, making everyone chuckle. "Do you love your mummy. And what about Papa?" Faiz said, narrowing his eyes. "Oh come on papa, I love you too. No need to behave like an attention seeker kid." Rabiya scolded her father. Poor Faiz Ahmad was shocked to listen it, but it was not new for him. Shayaan and Tabassum chuckled at the condition of the head of the family . Leaving everyone with a smile, Rabiya walked to her room happily but was stopped by Shayaan's voice. "So nice of you Rabiya, I was the one who supported you, and you forgot me?" Shayaan narrow his eyes while walking close to her. "My dear bhai, I can't forget you, you're my only brother," she chirped, "And my savior from Mummy's scolding, after all," she whispered in his ear. "Anything for you," He said brightly and pulled her cheek. "Bhai... Don't pull my cheek, I don't like it," She said irritatedly and removed his hand from her cheek and huffed. "But I like it," Shayaan teased her, raising his eyebrow playfully. Rabiya stomped towards her room, showing her frustration and fake anger to Shayaan, and everyone bursts into a laugh. "I can't imagine, our home after her marriage will become dull," Faiz said to his wife, and she nodded with a beautiful smile. "Come on, Papa, she is just 22, and we haven't even thought about her marriage yet, why are you thinking about her farewell," Shayaan questioned, picking up the glass of milk from the breakfast table. "Yeah, we haven't thought about her marriage yet, but we should," Tabassum said in a tense tone. "Don't worry, mummy, I will find a prince for my princess," Shayaan grinned and placed the empty glass of milk on the table. "Where are you going?" Faiz and Tabassum asked in unison when they saw Shayaan going towards the door. He looked back. "I have some work," He answered "What work? Today is a Sunday," Faiz said, but Shayaan just nodded and said, "I'll be back after some time." "This boy and his friends can't stay at home," Tabassum mumbled as she stared at the main door, from where Shayaan had just left. "Let him enjoy the days of independence, he is free to roam around because he doesn't have any responsibilities," Faiz told his wife with a smile. "I think we should give him some responsibility," Tabassum smiled as she replied. "What are you thinking begum," Faiz raised his eyebrows while folding the newspaper. "I want him to settle down. I want my daughter-in-law." Faiz thoughtfully smiled at his wife's wish. "Yeah, you're right, I will talk to him about this," Faiz said. Tabassum nodded in approval. "I will find a beautiful, responsible and caring girl for my son, who makes my home and my son's life happy," Tabassum lightheartedly said, making Faiz smile at her thoughts. "First, ask him if he likes any girl," Faiz instructed and Tabassum narrowed her eyes at him. "I trust Shayaan, he'll never refuse the girl I will choose for him. Secondly, he doesn't like any girl, I'm sure about it," Tabassum boasted. "And what if he does like someone?" Faiz put a fact in front of his wife. "No, I'll never accept that girl as my daughter-in-law," She said bitterly. "And why so?" "Because, because, I want my son married to the girl I choose for him." Tabassum didn't get any proper reason, so she simply shrugged. Faiz laughed. "Okay begum, as you wish. By the way, I'm pretty sure that our Shayaan is not interested in any girl, and he will never refuse to marry the girl which we will select for him." Faiz merrily copied and Tabassum happily nodded. "We'll discuss it later. Now, tell me, have you bought something for Insha?" Faiz asked his wife, and she nodded again. "I have bought gifts for Insha, as well as for the daughter-in-law-to-be of Waqaar bhai," Tabassum informed. "Good! When is Waqaar Bhai's son's marriage? I forgot," Faiz said while looking at Tabassum. "The day after tomorrow," She reminded him and went to the kitchen.
