Even though he was injured and didn’t feel like moving, Du You knew he had to fight. If a dark goblin managed to kill his brown bear, it would be his turn to die next. With this in mind, he circled around the dark goblin. His bow and arrow had been discarded somewhere in the heat of the previous battle. Taking advantage of the ongoing fight, Du You managed to approach the battlefield without being noticed. As the Dark Goblin released another Dark Arrow, Du You sprang into action. He cast a Magic Missile at the Debilitating Goblin, and followed straight behind it. The magic missile exploded on the Goblin’s body, making it stumble backwards. A dent formed in its back, indicating its bones had been broken, but the injury wasn’t too severe. That was the maximum damage he could inflect. Such was the nature of Magic Missiles. They weren’t powerful against men who had risen beyond level three in the Magic-class. It was no wonder that they were named skills of the transitional period; they weren’t very useful. The Dark Arrow was shot into the air, striking the Purple Lightning Golden Eagle, an attack the bird could not avoid in time. This was the first time the eagle was hit. When the Dark Arrow made contact with the crackling electricity on the eagle’s body, numerous lights burst forth. The next moment, the Purple Lightning Golden Eagle, although uninjured, experienced reduced electrical power and seemed much weaker to Du You. Its electrical discharge could only withstand two rounds of such attacks. After that, Xiaozi would have to rely on its own combat abilities. In the blink of an eye, Du You rushed to the side of the Dark Goblin, his Brave Warrior’s Sword emitting a dazzling light. At that moment, the longsword struck the Goblin’s waist at a speed so fast that even Du You himself was taken aback. It left a deep wound on the creature’s body. Updates are released by 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝘯𝘦𝘵 When did his abilities become so formidable? He felt like the reflex of his body was natural as could be. After the first strike, a second followed immediately, landing precisely at the weak spots of the Dark Goblin. The Dark Goblin, belatedly realizing the danger, hastily attempted to dodge, but it was unable to completely avoid the sword and ended up with an injury on its chest. In an emergency, the Dark Goblin waved his Magic Staff, a large red Light Cluster spreading out, enveloping both Du You and the brown bear. The Dark Goblin cast the Curse of Weakness, which would last one minute. Even though these details flashed through Du You’s mind and the weakened state he was in aroused his happiness, he wasn’t able to feel joy. The red light cluster made him feel a sudden ebbing of strength from his body. His movements were not as fast as before, and he had a lazier demeanor. The longsword in his hand felt heavier too. "Damn it, it can even cast curses. This is getting complicated." Even though he was cursing, Du You felt relieved. He was glad he hadn’t faced both leaders at the same time earlier. One would weaken him while the other strengthened the enemy. Along with the vast goblin army and a brave warrior, they formed a formidable force indeed. The army might not be highly organized, but they were certainly powerful. Du You restrained his discomfort and cast another Magic Missile. The power of this Magic Missile would not decrease under any circumstances. Perhaps its consistency is both the strength and the weakness of the Magic Missile. At such a close range, it was impossible for the slow Dark Goblin to avoid it. The Goblin was hit directly on the head, and the Dark Arrow that had been forming on its Magic Staff was interrupted. The strike made the Dark Goblin dizzy. After enduring for so long, the brown bear let out an angry roar, smacking the Goblin’s head. The Goblin, already dazed, was knocked flat on the ground, even more dizzy from the double assault. "What a pity, if it wasn’t for this curse, it should have been a fatal hit." A thought flashed through Du You’s mind as he rushed over, ignoring the discomfort and stabbing the Goblin’s heart with his sharp longsword. The sharp blade of the Brave Warrior’s Sword easily pierced the Goblin’s body. With Du You’s body weight added to the mix, the Brave Warrior’s Sword ruthlessly skewered the Dark Goblin from behind. With such a severe injury, no amount of struggle could save the Goblin, and it died shortly after. Exhausted, Du You sat on the ground, took a deep breath, and waited for the curse to wear off. "Now I understand why curses are so infamous. It didn’t bother me this much in the game, perhaps because it never actually affected me. Feeling weak is truly terrible," Du You muttered to himself. He looked at his brown bear and noticed its condition was severe. There were three dark, stinking holes emitting layers of putrid odor. The dark forces still corroded the wounds, expanding them continuously. If the bear hadn’t been so tough and strong and if the hits weren’t in non-vital areas, his bear would have died. Fortunately, after a while, the bear’s wounds finally stopped expanding. The dark forces should have been exhausted. "It’s about time! If it had taken any longer, my summoned beast would have been doomed," Du You thought to himself. He patted the bear’s head, and the creature looked at Du You pitifully as if it were an abandoned puppy. Seeing such an expression on the face of a big bear was frustrating. After this fight, Du You did not immediately collect the light balls — he was too tired, and he had been injured for the first time. There was a sting in his back, where a sword had penetrated him. It wasn’t deep, but it was a wound nonetheless. However, as Du You inspected it, he noticed that the wound was healing on its own and he wasn’t losing much blood. "The advantages of a Law Formalized body are clear. No wonder they say that bodies that haven’t undergone Law Formalization have too many weaknesses." Even a simple wound-healing function was quite significant. Looking at the goblins, which were so powerful, he couldn’t help but think that unless they had special bodies, their wounds wouldn’t quickly heal on their own. After resting for about five minutes, Du You finally felt that some of his strength was returning. It seemed that the brown bear’s wounds were finally beginning to heal as well. The dark forces were proving to be a tough foe. "God, the smell here is unbearable. I’d better leave soon. Wait, what’s that?" Suddenly, he noticed a big box in the center of the camp, giving off a white radiance. "Wait a minute, I remember there wasn’t anything in the goblin camp. Besides, considering the grandeur and the cleanliness of the box, it does not fit in here." Du You was puzzled. His memory couldn’t have failed him, so when did this box appear? A moment later, he understood as he read the message on the panel.
