JUST US ***************** Narrators POV ***************** The diagnosis of Chris’s mother with kidney failure left him shattered. When Selena came over to his home after she had called him and the way he sounded so distraught. As Selena unpacked the groceries she brought along with her Chris drew her into his arms, he had only wanted a tight hug from her but suddenly he felt deep arousal and need to make love to her. Tipping her oval smooth face to the side, he kissed her deeply on her soft succulent lips. The kiss grew deeper and he wove his tongue into her mouth thrusting them deeper and savoring the sweet taste of chocolate she had eaten on her way to his house. “Chris.” Selena said breathlessly as she separated her lips from his, “we have to stop now, remember we planned to wait till we graduate. “Yeah, im sorry. I don’t know what came over me.” he wiped his face with his bare hands “can you help me with a bottle of water in the fridge. “Sure.” she handed him a bottle and looked at him,” what did the doctors say about your mum.” Heaving heavily “her kidneys are failing and she has to start undergoing dialysis by Thursday” “Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry,” Selena said trying not to weep or lose control in front of Chris, she felt that she needed to be strong for his sake. Shrugging “it’s okay, we would get through this.” “Do you have health insurance to cover the cost?” Selena asked, she was always practical in everything she did. “No” he shook his head “but we have some money saved up, it would do for now.” “I have some savings too, I can send it to you.” Smiling now “thank you Selena for loving me, but what we have now is okay. I would let you know if and when I need more.” ‘Promise.” she said, making smug faces at him “I promise.” “Shake on it.” their sudden burst of laughter filled the whole kitchen”\ ******************** MINUTES LATER ******************** “I’m famished, I haven’t had anything to eat since breakfast,” Chris said after their laughter died down. “I will whisk up some spaghetti, it won’t take so much time to prepare.” Chris stayed with her in the kitchen as she made dinner for both of them, they ate the meal standing by the kitchen counter talking and laughing. What Selena loved most about her relationship with Chris is the ease at which they both flowed with each other, they both found great solace in each other’s company. It was almost nine-thirty pm when Chris glanced at his wristwatch “it’s late Selena, I hate to see you leave but you have to go now it is getting dark and I don’t like you driving alone late at night.” “I plan to spend the night here” suddenly unsure of herself “thats if it’s okay with you.” “I like that a lot.” his face creased with a thoughtful frown “but what about your dad, he would kill me if he finds out you are here.” “I lied to him that I was going to visit Cherry, I already planned with her so she knows what to say to dad in case he decides to call her. “I would bet my last dime that he would put a call across to her just to make sure your story tallies, you know your father doesn’t like losing especially to me.” “Stop it, Chris. Enough about my father. I need to take my bath now and prepare for bed. Eyes bulging with mischief “do you need some company in the bathroom.” “Stop Chris.” Selena blushed “your mum is in the next room” “She is deep in her sleep already.” with two giant strides he reached where she was standing close to the bathroom, “I mean what I said.” he kissed her deeply leaving her panting for her breathe. Their hormones were already going haywire with desire. Biting her lips she smiled seductively at him and walked into the bathroom without saying a word. Her heart beat faster in her chest as she didnt knows if he was coming or not. When he didn't come in after her, disappointed but relieved she opened the shower and allowed the cold water to run through her.
