Aviena's POV I stopped what I was doing when I saw him frown as he looked at me. His face also shouts madness. I can't help but frown at him as well. “I’m asking what are you doing? Maids keep on coming here to call you. We are waiting for you in the dining, ” he said with anger in his voice. He also just kept his eyes on the bags that were full of clothes now. It is some stuff I bought for the kids that I still haven’t given away until now. “I also told you that I’m not going to eat. And while you are here, I want to say goodbye to you. I think I'll stay at my sister's place for a while. ” He just kept his cold gaze on my suitcase before giving his full attention to me. “Why? Is it becau— ” I immediately cut him off because I felt like I had an idea about it. “No. My sister needed me. She's been crying earlier. I just want to visit her. I think spending time there won't really hurt, right? You probably won't lock me up here. This is the only time I wanted to go home. You don't have to think about me when in fact we don't meet so often here in your house and we're not even sleeping on the same bed at night,” I told him. I don’t know if I sounded sarcastic or what but I think it’s more okay to say that I was annoyed when I said it. “Why? Do you like it when we see each other? Do you like to sleep with me? ” Stupid. It seems like that's the only thing he heard. I looked at him coldly so he raised an eyebrow at me as if waiting for my answer. "No!" “I'm just going home! I will only say goodbye once,” I said, glaring at him. I grabbed my suitcase before he turned around. "How long will you stay there and why is your suitcase so big?" he asked. "I have my gift for my sister, niece, and nephew." He just stared at it while I stared at him for a long time. I'm also not sure if I'm going to say what I'm holding back. “And you. Don't brag too much that you have a girlfriend. Don't even think of ruining my name. I care about it so bad. In everyone's eyes, I am your wife. They're probably pitying me now because of you,” I said, still unable to stop clenching my fist. I could see his face slightly softened. I don't know if it's because of guilt or what. “And I thought this contract is confidential? But you're the one who even said it to someone else. Don't worry I won't ask for the penalty but just please don't just tell people around just because you're the one paying me. ” He just kept looking at me and seemed to want to say something but he chooses not to say it. "I'm going, thanks for your time," I said as I started to walk but he immediately accompanied me. "I'll drop you off," he said to me so I raised an eyebrow at him. I thought they are going to the hotel right now? What? Change of plan? Will I stay here because I'm leaving too? Wow. He's really unbelievable, huh? “No need. I have my car, ” I said because my car was already in the garage. He just stared at me for a long time before doing nothing but sighing because I was stubborn again. "I'll tail you then." I stopped arguing because I was too tired to do so. When I came down, I saw the astonished looks of the maid. I also saw how surprised they were because of the suitcase I was carrying. Even Marissa, who was in the living room, looked at me shockingly. Veron was the only one who have the guts to ask. “Are you going to run away, Ma’am? But this your house too? ” she asked, narrowing his brows. I couldn't help but shake my head because she was now glaring at River. “Did you get her kicked out, Boss? Aren't you even embarrassed?” she asked. I pulled Veron because River's forehead was already wrinkled and they might start arguing all of a sudden. I can't afford to be between them. I also left when I answered Veron's question. I glanced in my side mirror as I watched River's car. If Marissa wasn't there, that one probably wouldn't agree. He never wanted me to sleep outside last month but now he let me just because Marissa was there. When I got to the opposite side of the house, I looked at River without saying goodbye to me. He just leaves. He was so excited to go home, huh? I just smiled to myself. Why do I keep on thinking about them? This is just so annoying. I have no interest in that man. Why am I like this? Really, Aviena? I just smiled to myself before going inside. I don't really want to think about it anymore. I let out a wide smile as I entered to hide my true feelings. "Big Sister!" Ruby was immediately surprised when she greeted me. Ruby and Marieta are both graduating students in senior high school. Both of them are hard-working students. Ruby immediately hugged me tightly and called some of our younger siblings inside. Joy, Demdem, Sadie, and Jack. I also have three baby nieces who do not live here. “Big Sister! Is it good that you came home!” they said in astonishment as they looked at me. I nodded and smiled. “I want to visit you all. These are your gifts. ” I gave them one by one the things I bought. They will soon move to Baguio because that is the location of the house provided by River. That's where they really want to love. So am I. The majority of us want a peaceful life there. “You shouldn't have bothered anymore, Aviena. You should have just saved that for yourself,” Grandma said to me. She was so happy with my sudden visit. I also can't really do it sometimes because I'm tired from work and maybe because I don't want to see Tito Bernard and Tita Puschia but for now I'll just put up with them. “It's okay, Grandma. I love buying gifts for them,” I said so she narrowed her eyes at me. “How are you, Hija? Do you buy something for yourself too? You are the one who pays for their tuition now. You should also care about yourself.” I smiled at Auntie Madeth, one of my close Auntie, Joy's Mother. “It's impossible for her not to buy something for herself. Look, that watch is so expensive,” Auntie Puschia said, who raised her eyebrows as she looked at me. I couldn't help but look at her with a frown. I don’t know if I'll be more stressed here or what. “Gosh, she can't even buy us expensive things like that. What an ungrateful child,” Auntie Puschia said so Grandma reprimanded her immediately. “You should be ashamed of what you say, Puschia. You don't even spend anything on your children. You can't even work for them,” Grandma said. “Oh, why would I? Aviena is there. What is she even doing if she won't help us, her family?” she ask so I just smiled. I didn't want to listen to what she was saying anymore so I turned to Auntie Madeth to ask where Marieta was. “She was in her room. She is still upset about the drop in her grade,” they told me so I just nodded. “You're sister is just overacting!” Auntie Puschia said so I couldn't help but look back at her. She slowly closed her mouth but soon she glare at me. “How dare you look at me like that? You are indebted to us! You wouldn't be there if it weren't for us!” she said to me so I was just shaken. Who said that I'm not? “What? You'll scare me that you will not pay my children's tuition? ” he asked with a bad look still given to me. “Even if you do, I don't care! I can teach my children on my own,” she said, so Grandma pinched her. “Stop what you're saying, Puschia. Just be thankful for what Aviena gives you. Aren't you ashamed of that mouth of yours? ” Grandma asked him angrily. Auntie wanted to answer but I said goodbye to go to Mariet's room. The reason why Auntie looked at me angrily again. "You see how rude she is, Mom?" Auntie Puschia asked Grandma. Grandma just glare at her but Auntie Puschia seemed like she didn't want to let go either. I just shook my head before I proceeded to enter. I went straight to Marieta's room. I immediately found her busy reviewing. Even though I'm stupid, my sister is smart so it's okay. "Hi," I greeted because she just kept doing what she was doing. She stopped there before looking at me with wide eyes now. “Big Sister? What are you doing here?” She could hardly believe it as she looked at me now. I let out a wide smile so her eyes still widened when she ran to greet me with a tight hug. "I'm sorry, Big Sis…" She couldn't help but cry when she hugged me. I couldn't help but laugh before messing up her hair. “Why are you saying sorry? You didn't do anything wrong. All of your subjects are high. Big sister is very proud of you, Marieta. You don't have to beat your brain up. I will always be proud of you,” I said, trying to mess up her hair again. She cried even harder. “I just feel bad about it, Big Sister. You're always doing your best for me. For us… so we can study and then here I was… My grade suddenly came down…” she said, trying to wipe away the tears. “No need to think about it, okay? Big Sister doesn't really have a problem with that… Just think about your health and your education. I don't have anything else to ask for,” I said smiling at her. For days, I just spend time with them. Somehow I had fun talking to my nephews. The only case is that Tita Puschia often makes me feel bad. I'm so thankful that her husband isn't here because I also don't really know what to do just in case. I don't want to see that person. “You are preparing too much for her, Mom. You can't even feed us delicious food,” Tita Puschia said when she sat down in the dining. She really loves to annoy herself as well as me. I just ignored her criticism and just eat quietly. I was just looking at my phone when I saw someone calling. The one who often bothered my mind these past few days. I tried not to think about him and his blue eyes but I just can't really help it. I still often really think about the two of them. I stood up and told my family that I'll answer the call first. I just stood there quietly before thinking about what to say to him. "Hello?" I said. "I need you here." I seemed to lose my breath at what he said. What the heck is wrong with that guy? And most importantly, what the heck is wrong with me?
