Chapter 32 I walk into the room and see that everything is torn out. Everything except the bathroom. They even have the studs up and are working on the drywall. That was quick. I close the door and go across the hall. Maleena is on the bed watching TV. She jumps when I walk in. Her face flushes. "What are you watching?" I ask, smirking at her. Something nasty. Fen snickers. I look at the TV and see a naked couple in bed. You can't see anything, but the side of their bodies and a sheet covering them. I look at Maleena whose face is bright red. "It isn't what it looks like!" She shrieks. "Oh really?" I look at the screen then back at her. I have to give her a hard time, I know it isn't p*rn. "I promise. You just came in at the worst part of the show!" See? She says frantically pushing buttons on the TV remote pulling up the name of the show. Lucifer. "Okay.." I drag out. "Whatever you say." "No! I promise! It is a show about a detective and the Devil. It's a good show." She says trying to defend herself. I just chuckle. "I was just giving you a hard time. Get your shoes on. We're going out for lunch then to the school to get you registered." I say calming her down a little. I can still feel her embarrassment and chuckle some more. She quickly gets on her shoes and turns off the TV. We head to the main strip to a little cafe and order some food. "How was your meeting with the King?" She asks in a low tone. I look around to see one other couple sitting across the cafe in deep conversation. They won't be able to hear us. "It was fine. I pissed him off, but does that surprise you?" I say lightly. "Oh goddess. What did you do?" She asks concerned. "I just told him I won't be doing the pack run." I say. "Why did that piss him off?" She asks. "Because it is tradition and I am breaking it." I say. "Did you explain to him why you don't want to do it?" She asks. She knows that I don't shift, unless I need to. The last time I shifted was about 4 years ago, I have never had the need to shift since. Fen is on the same page when it comes to shifting, most people need to shift at least once a month to keep their wolf from taking over, but my circumstance is different. "I told him I don't shift. Then I brought up his first mate and he got mad and left." I say. Her eyes go big and her mouth opens a little. Before she had the chance to ask any other questions the kitchen doors swung open revealing our waitress. She was bringing our food. We ate our food and paid then started towards the school. Lunch took a little longer than expected and it was now 13:00. When we arrived at the highschool we walked into the front office. The women at the front desk looked at me with disdain. We interrupted her playing on her phone. "Can I help you?" She asked in a monotone voice. "Yes. I need to register my sister for school. "I say, trying not to get annoyed at this woman's lack of professionalism. "Name." Is all she says. "Maleena Petrovich." I say. "Petrovich.. As in the future queen Petrovich?" The woman asks, her eyes getting big as she realizes who I am. "Yes." I say. "Oh. I'm sorry your highness, I didn't realize who you were. Please give me a moment and I will get the principal. He handles all of the royal registrations." She says getting up from her chair too fast and knocking it over. I hear her mumble under her breath some profanities. I hear Fen in my head laughing hysterically. "She just about pissed herself when she realized who we are!" She screams at me, still laughing. It was funny, but it wasn't that funny. I look over and see Maleena trying not to laugh. Her face is red and her lips look like she is about to burst. I reach over and smack her arm a little and she starts laughing. Trying to be quiet about it but not succeeding. I just shake my head and chuckle to myself. We stood there for 10 minutes waiting for the lady to come back. "Why is it taking so long?" Maleena whispers out loud. "Maybe she had to change before she talked with the principal. She had to wash up." I say, cracking a smile. Malenna starts laughing and then the lady comes back with a nervous smile on her face. There is a middle aged man following behind her. "Your Highness, I am principal Gradolf." He says bowing. "It is a pleasure to meet you. I am LeeAca and this is my sister Maleena. I need to enroll her in school," I say stretching out my hand for a handshake. He looks perplexed but grabs my hand anyway. Then Maleena shakes his hand. "It's nice to meet you principal Gradolf." She says being polite. We follow him to his office and sit down on two chairs in front of his desk. He smiles then hands me and Maleena a schedule. That must be why it took longer. He was getting her schedule already made up for us. How did he know she was a senior? "My apologies for taking so long to greet you. I took the opportunity to call the Green River High School to talk with them to get details about Maleena's school history." He says almost reading my mind. "If you take a look at the schedule you will see that everything is planned out for you already." He says pointing to the schedule in our hands. I look at the schedule and see a bunch of Luna classes on there. Luna training 101, Luna History, Proper etiquette, Speech, Psychology. Weird. "Luna classes?" I ask in confusion. "Yes. Since you are queen, it is suspected that she will mate with an alpha, chosen or fated. It will also give her an opportunity to learn royal etiquette for functions." He says. I look over to Maleena and see her nose is scrunched up in dislike. She likes to train. "What about warrior training?" I ask and Gradolf looked surprised. He cleared his throat clearly uncomfortable. "That is a whole other schedule. We have a schedule for each speciality. Luna, Warrior, Business, Culinary, Maid, ect." He says. I nod my head in understanding. "Could you print off the typical warrior schedule please?" I ask. I feel his aggravation seep through a little. "Of course." He says with a forced smile. He quickly prints off the schedule and hands it to me. I look at it to see Warrior History, Proper warrior etiquette, Warrior training, Psychology, and interrogation techniques. I handed the schedule to Maleena and her face lifts. She likes this one better. "Could we possibly combine the two schedules?" I ask and his emotions are heightened to irritated. "It would take a lot of work to reconfigure the schedule." He says. I took the two schedules and studied them closely. I don't really understand why they have two different histories for each subject. I take a pen and start circling classes Warrior training,Warrior history, proper Luna etiquettes, Psycology, speech, and interrogation techniques. They all are interchangeable with other classes for the most part. I handed him back the schedule that I wrote on. "There. It is all planned. Will there be a problem getting her scheduled into each of those classes?" I asked. Even though I knew he would not say no. "There will be no problem, your highness." He says entering all the information into the computer. He prints out another schedule and hands it to me. I look at it and nod, then hand it to Maleena. She smiles and thanks him. Another student knocks on the door and the principal gets up to open it. She is short in stature and has dark red hair. She looks like Redna, but younger. "Maleena, this is Gennevive. She is here to give you a tour of the school." He says. Maleena gets up and leaves with Gennevive. I get up to leave when the principal speaks up."Your highness. If I may be so bold as to ask why you wish for Maleena to take warrior classes?" He asks, feeling curious. I turn around and look at him. "Every person should know the basics to survive if they find themselves in a compromising position, as well as defending the pack. If you think about the other classes, Luna's should learn how to read when people are lying, they should learn more than just luna history to become more educated and appreciate their warriors more. There are a lot of links between Luna's and warrior's, they should be combined to ensure the other understands at least the basics. If not, both sides are ignorant to what the other does. This will develop a strain of disrespect." I say as he lets my words sink in. His eyebrows shoot up like he has an idea. "I completely agree, you are right! If a warrior thinks all a Luna does is sit around breeding pups they will not see as much value in her. If a Luna thinks a warrior only uses brute force there will not be as much respect for them." He says, understanding my point. "That is true for all career fields as well. There should be a combination of all. This will ensure fair treatment of all wolves. Not many people respect the culinary artists, but without them we wouldn't have good food and the same goes for all other specialties." I say and his eyes get even bigger. "Would you be an advocate for this change?" He asks. "What change specifically?" I ask, so I know what I am getting into. "The mixing of schedules and classes to ensure there is respect and no divide between specialties." He says anxiously. "Of course." I say, putting a smile on my face. "Great!" He all but yells. "If you need any help with it, let me know." I say as I reach out to shake his hand again. He grabs it and puts his other hand on top of mine to show the respect and thankfulness he has. I smile and put my hand on his other. I nod and let go. He does the same. "Don't hesitate to reach out. You can call the castle and ask for Redna. She will be able to set up a time for us to meet." I say and walk out the door. I wait outside for Maleena for another 5 minutes before she walks out. "Do you think you'll like it?" I ask her. "Yes I am excited. What did you and Principle Gradolf talk about?" She asks. "He asked why I wanted you in both warrior and Luna training." I say. "Oh no. What did you tell him?" She asks. Thinking that Fen and I got upset for him questioning our decision. We would have if we felt anger from him, but we only felt genuine confusion. "We explained to him why and he asked us to be an advocate to help change the schedules. He was pretty excited." I say and she looks smug. "Your first project as Luna." She states. This statement throws me for a loop. Luna project. I didn't think about that. Most Luna's have a project they take on to help the pack better itself. I only thought about educating the ignorant. It will help with respect and there would be less bullying. "I guess so." I said and started walking, Maleena following closely behind me. Fen is quiet. She isn't a big fan of us taking on a Luna project. She agrees with educating the ignorant, but a Luna project only solidifies that we will be Luna. She doesn't like that.
