Chapter 25 I can feel my heart beating faster. They are making me watch what they are doing to them. They have some sort of serum that they are injecting in them. I hear their screams for me to come save them. I can feel their emotions from here. All of a sudden they are both seizing. Thadius stopped. That is when I felt his tether break. It felt like I lost a piece of me. I began screaming and pounding on the glass for my babies. I see Marcelina start to contort. They are trying to force a shift. I feel her pain. She is only 2 while Thadius is almost 3. I see her arms break and her feet start to shift. Then it goes horribly wrong and I see her neck break. I wake up in a cold sweat and crying. I haven't had this memory in months. I reach in the nightstand drawer and pull out my whiskey and chug it. I look at the clock and see that it is only 22:00. Two hours, sounds about right. I get up and head to the shower. I sit there for an hour trying to get my feelings under control. I hear a knock at the bathroom door and get out, turning the shower off. "Ace, are you almost done? I got to pee." I hear Maleena say from the other side. "Hold on." I say back. I quickly grab a towel and dry off and get dressed. I open the door and Maleena rushes in. "Thank goddess. I was about to piss myself." She says hurriedly and I chuckle. She comes out and looks at me questioningly. "Are you going somewhere?" She asks. "Yeah I'm going out. I will be back before sunrise. You can take my bed if you want. Mind-link me if you need anything." I told her. She only nods her head and goes toward my bedroom. She knows that I don't sleep much and when I wake up I go out. I have been doing it for the past 4 years. I climb out and go towards my training spot. When it hit 00:15 I went to the spot Lucas found me yesterday. To my surprise he is already there waiting for me. "Thank goddess. I thought you weren't going to come." He says with relief. "It isn't even 00:30 yet." I say amusingly. "Right." He pauses. "So um.. Where should we start?" He asks. "Come on." I say as I lead him to the training area I use. "How did you find this place? I didn't realize we had an open field so deep in the forest." He says "I found it when I was scouting. Now let's get down to business. We are going to spar. This will allow me to assess where you are and go from there." I say. I feel his worry. "I will take it easy on you. I just need to see where you are with your training." I say and I feel his relief. We only spar for 10 minutes before he gets tired. He has a lot of work to do. He is sloppy with his punches and doesn't know how to throw kicks properly. We stop and he looks exhausted. "Lucas. If you change your mind about training you can let me know. I will not think any differently of you." I say. "I didn't say that." He defends. "You didn't have to. Your body language says it all. You are drained. Not to mention you feel like you can't do this." I say. "I want to do this." He says back to me looking up and then sighing. "I just don't know if I am able to. I am tired already and we only sparred for 10 minutes. Normally I last longer." "You last longer because during warrior training the spars are only 5 minutes or until somebody wins. Sparing for a continuous 10 minutes straight is tiring. You don't get a break and you are not conserving your energy." I say. "What can I do?" He asks hopefully. Which is what I was looking for. He truly does want this. "We will work on that. But for now we are going to work on the basics." I say and offer him a hand up. I spent the rest of the night drilling him on how to throw punches and how to kick properly. In Addicted to You movie, Audrey's biggest regret? A one-night stand with Floyd, her secret love for eight years. Despite his arranged marriage and his family's troubles, he kept rescuing her. She tho...
