---- Chapter 4 Audrey pointed a trembling finger at Ricky, her voice rising with rage she could no longer contain. "Summer was on her way to a prenatal checkup when she overheard your conversation with Lindsay. She got into a car accident. The baby was born prematurely. He died the moment he came out! "And Summer's mother... died in that crash too! This is all your fault, Ricky!" The words sliced through the air like glass. Ricky sobered instantly, frozen where he stood. For along moment, he didn't say anything. Then he let out a low, bitter laugh and kicked over the wreaths around him, scattering white petals across the floor. "Come on, Audrey. Don't joke with me." His tone was mocking, dismissive. "Summer's always been good at putting on a show-now you're joining her act? She loves money. She loves being my wife. She'd never walk away from me." ---- With a smirk, he flopped onto the couch like nothing mattered. "She's just mad I didn't come see her or the kid, right? Fine. Let her come out. I'll hold the baby. I haven't seen him yet-bet he looks just like me." He looked over at his men with a half-smile. But none of them met his gaze. Every head was bowed. Grief hung heavy in the silence. No one dared to speak. Unease crept into Ricky's chest. His smirk faded. He stood up, eyes darting around, his voice rising with panic. "Where's my kid? Where are you hiding him? Audrey, I only got mad because Summer lied to me. That's all. Iwas angry. "But we have a child now. She wouldn't leave me... would she? Tell me where she is. I'll apologize. I'll bring her back." Not once had it crossed his mind that Summer would ---- actually leave him. Even if she didn't love him anymore, her mother's treatment still depended on the Lenza family. And now that they had a child together- No. It wasn't possible. She wouldn't leave him. She couldn't. Audrey let out a short, cold laugh. "Ricky, the one who can't let go is you. But you- again and again-you hurt her for someone else. You want to win her back now? It's too late." Ricky scoffed, unconvinced. ''She saw Lindsay's Instagram and talked you into pulling this whole act, didn't she? I never planned on replacing Summer with anyone. I was only with those women to piss her off. If you don't believe me, I'll prove it to you." He pulled out his phone and dialed Lindsay. "The wedding dress you liked today-I bought it. You're not getting any younger. Find someone else and marry him. Don't contact me again." ---- Then, without hesitation, he blocked her number. Turning to Audrey, he looked triumphant, even smug. "Happy now? Can Summer and the baby come out? I'll even promise not to hold her to that old contract. I'll take care of her and the baby like they deserve." Audrey couldn't help but laugh bitterly. "All right," she said, nodding. "Then go home." Ricky stood up immediately, like he'd just won some private battle. As she watched his proud figure disappear through the door, Audrey shook her head slowly. He still didn't get it. Only when he saw, with his own eyes, how the woman he loved had walked away for good. Only then would it hit him. Only then would he understand what he'd lost. Discover our latest featured short drama reel. Watch now and enjoy the story!
