Townspeople slept as early as 7 PM. Only taverns and the red-light district operated at night, soothing local lonely men. Strangely, more adventurers visited the district than usual that night. Appendix and his Night Watchers party were stationed at the adventurer guild’s headquarters, guarding the place and ready for anything that might happen. Despite the importance of his tasks, Appendix and his friends were in a daze. No man in this world had been desensitized by internet porn. When the livestream showed Parita’s bare body during the bite inspection, everybody got to see her clear back, body shape, and the perfect cake. Fortunately, the camera angle protected Parita from being exposed from the front. Nevertheless, the harm was irreversible. The image of her back silhouette was burned into their memories. At 8 PM, Appendix made his decision. He inhaled deeply and got up. He could not resist the urge. "I’ll take a break for a moment." His lizardman friend, Nephrolith, leered at Appendix and smirked. "You’re in season? Can’t endure the stimulation, huh?" "Go F yourself, gecko." Appendix snorted. Nephrolith shrugged and countered. "Unlike you, warm-blooded apes, we lizards are disciplined with our mating season. We don’t get horny because we see a woman’s butt. You go F yourself." The Night Watcher’s members laughed at their banter. Appendix’s face reddened in frustration. He raised an index finger and walked away. Nephrolith also raised an index finger in return and chuckled at his racist friend. Taking over the command post, Nephrolith got up from his bench and sat on a wooden stool located at the center of the hall. If an adventurer rushed into the hall to deliver news, they would find Nephrolith first, and he would issue orders to his party members in Appendix’s stead. Several minutes later, the usual broadcasting cube emerged in the middle of the hall. The second cube appeared in the town square. However, the third, fourth, fifth, and twentieth manifested everywhere in the city, where people were still awake. One of which showed up in the military zone, while the other brightened in the adventurers’ camps. Nephrolith’s eyes narrowed. Once again, he expected to see Parita and her shenanigans. He wondered if this was related to the defeat during the day. "Again?" Nephrolith’s teammates gathered to watch. They were curious as he was. Nephrolith warned everybody. Ready your gear. "We might need to sortie tonight, but it’s up to the pink elf." "I don’t know. Let’s watch." The team stopped talking. They watched in silence. The camera focused on Parita as usual. But this time, it captured her frightening speed as she traveled south, heading back to the Heni Farm. In minutes, she arrived at the battle site. Monster corpses were still there. Parita approached the dead boar as though she were about to dissect it, but she changed her mind. The camera, oddly, changed angles to the sky for a brief moment. When it shifted its focus to Parita once more, the corpses were nowhere in the background. Nobody in the guild noticed them. Even Nephrolith didn’t pay attention to the background corpses. The stream continued. Parita proceeded to a pit and discovered the Hungers. "Oh, shit. Don’t tell me... Hey, lazzy! Don’t do it!! You can’t defeat them all! FALL BACK!" Nephrolith bellowed, but Parita didn’t hear him. He wasn’t the only one trying to warn her. The others from other broadcasting sites also joined the chat. Sparrow: "IDIOT! COME BACK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Harpy Eagle: "It’s her again. Will she be okay?" Lupus: "That’s too many! You can’t fight them all! RETREAT!" Bald Eagle: "If she can use sword aura techniques more than 10 times, she has a chance." Neutrophils: "Kid! Think this through!" Neutrophils: "Fuck! Wait there! I’m going to pick you up! Elves these days are idiots!" H5N8: "Who is this woman? What is this floating square? Someone, call Cathartes here!" Haast Eagle: "Oh, dear. She’s an overachiever." Rubella: "MISS KESTREL! FALL BACK!" Andean Condor: "What a waste of beauty." Nephrolith recognized some of the big names in the chat. His expression turned dark when he spotted H5N8’s name among the crowd. "Oh, no. That guy can see this, too?" The lizardman was horrified at the thought that Parita had gotten H5N8’s attention. Moreover, the governor mentioned a person from the vulture family. He picked up his war axe. Turning to the others, he issued an order. "We’re heading to the east district, right now." "What about the captain?" Their healer asked. "Leave him. We’re about to regroup with the other members!" "No time to explain. Get it moving!" His teammates were momentarily confused. After they got another look in the chat log, they finally realized the incoming headache. The next ordeal wouldn’t be from the Hungers. On the contrary, it would be from their fellow adventurers, who had sold out to the noble families. Meanwhile, H5N8 and his entourage gathered at the military camp, watching the stream from the screen cube. With his arms crossed, he sat on the back of a Highland barbarian slave who was being used as a chair. Behind H5N8, a handsome young man with black hair and Asian features rubbed his chin, admiring the face and figure of Parita. He was Andean Condor, the leader of the Condor Clan, which was also an ally of the Vulture Family. Additionally, he was a former SSS-class adventurer from the guild, and he had lived in this world for 125 years. Three years back, he abandoned the adventurer’s life and joined the H5 family, motivated by the pursuit of riches, authority, and women. Andean kept ogling Parita’s figure and bit his lower lip. He muttered in disappointment. "What a waste. What a waste." H5N8 nodded in agreement. "Indeed. Instead of being an adventurer, she would have served me well in bed. These female elves don’t belong on the battlefield. They belong in a display cage." Andean smirked. He inwardly disagreed with the statement since he also craved good women, especially elves. As someone from Earth, elves were his fantasy. As they ogled her, white bats swarmed in the vicinity. They landed 10 meters behind H5N8 and merged, materializing a middle-aged vampire. His white hair contrasted with the black cloak and dark tuxedo. Andean and the new vampire exchanged glances. Even though they were on the same side, they came from opposing groups. The old vampire clicked his tongue in disgust at the sight of his rival. "I thought the Condors had migrated to the capital. What are you doing here?" Andean scoffed. "I also thought you had been busy sucking children’s blood or had walked into the sunlight." "Hah. As if you’ve never drunk blood, hypocrite. Without our family’s help, you would have died the day you got bloodscorched! Is that the tone you speak with your benefactor?" "Don’t pretend I know nothing, you rotten bat. It was you who pushed me toward a pack of Starves and got me infected in the first place!" "It’s your fault for being weak. Heh!" Andean exhaled deeply and unsheathed a crimson longsword. His killing intent and blood mana erupted, engulfing the area with pressure. The vampire also materialized a jagged whip, which dripped with unknown blood. Before the two vampires could start a fight to the death, H5N8 calmly raised his hand and snapped his fingers. The two vampires flinched and furrowed their brows, sensing an immense gravity falling upon them. They turned toward H5N8 and knelt. "Cathartes, Andean, enough with your family quarrel and shut your mouths before I rip your hearts out." The two vampires lowered their heads and broke a sweat. Despite being all-powerful, they were afraid of H5N8’s power. The governor looked frail, yet he hid a secret, which was the bane of all vampires, aka the Scorched. H5N8 sighed and dispelled the gravity magic. He pointed at the livestream cube. "Say, Cathartes, Andean. If this woman happens to get infected, can you turn her into a Scorched and make her my pet?" Andean almost smacked his lips. As he also desired Parita, he lied. "No, my lord. If I rescue her with my bloodline’s power, she will still be a Scorched. If you consummate with her, you will be infected too." "Ah, what a waste." H5N8 clicked his tongue. While they chatted, Parita got hit with the lion’s fireball, and her clothes were burned to ash. The mole stripped her of the leather armor, and she continued fighting naked. Andean, Cathartes, and H5N8’s eyes gleamed. Her figure was so alluring that it stimulated their animal natures. Unable to contain his desire, H5N8 ordered both of them. "Bring me that woman, infected or not. Do not turn her into a Scorched yet." Andean and Cathartes glanced at each other and answered in unison. "We obey!" The two vampires transformed into bats and vanished into the night sky. After sending his two strongest minions, H5N8 scratched his pants. He couldn’t wait to get his hands on Parita. As for the infected issue, he knew a few tricks. He didn’t need the help of the vampires, who had gotten bloodscorched before. While sprinting back to the camp, Parita glanced at the system message screen. There was a report of the idol meeting magic’s bonus. [You have received 2,248 Idol Points! Current Points: 4,248.] Parita was stunned. She thought purifying others was the meta, but casting the spell on herself awarded her more than usual. Unable to figure out the reason, she asked the system. ’Say, why did I get so many points? What’s the reason?’ [You were infected with the Bloodscorched virus. You removed the virus from your system and purified the surrounding area.] Parita stopped running. Her eyes widened as she became inspired. Turning around, she started running back to the pit. ’What time is it now?’ ’Have my spells refreshed?’ ’Cool! Let’s purify that stupid cave and farm some points!’
