Chapter 26 - Vtuber Caught Slaughtering Wildlife, Citing Forced System Quest. [You have purchased the Night Vision Spellbook.] [Installing the spell...] Instead of giving Parita a hard copy of the spellbook, the system implanted the memory into her mind. She fell into a daze as her mind pictured strange scripture and mathematical patterns. After absorbing the knowledge from the spellbook, the excess system screens vanished, leaving only the main system message window. [Note: Your magic attribute affects the maximum number of spells you can cast per day. The number resets every time you fall asleep.] System Features: The rıghtful source is 𝗻𝗼𝘷𝗲𝗹•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝕟𝕖𝕥 - Inventory System: Level 2 - Livestream System: Level 2 Unlike the idol meeting spell, this ability’s limitation was related to Parita’s magic attribute. When she checked her status screen, she noticed a pattern. "So, that’s how the stats work." After spending 500 points, Parita still had 255 points left. She invested everything in her magic and fitness attributes. With the preparation, Parita grew more confident. She tested the new ability by casting night vision on herself. The spell count dropped from 60 to 59 as expected. No light or fancy effects appeared. Her eye color turned white and gleamed, similar to the eyes of a nocturnal creature. Her illuminated eyes allowed her to see everything clearly, as if it were still daylight. With the night vision, she was good to go. Parita left the camp and headed south on her own. Running on a dirt road without worrying about running into people or trees felt nice. Though the wind was cold against her skin, Parita’s cheeks and mouth didn’t react like those who were unaccustomed to harsh winds. She felt like a character in a horse-girl game. Parita arrived at Heni Farm after 10 minutes of nonstop dashing. Upon returning to the battlefield, she fetched her precious gladius and began chopping up monster corpses. While butchering and dissecting the bodies, Parita drooled. [A reminder. You are livestreaming.] Parita froze on the spot. She stood up and coughed. She glanced at the system message with a wink, then adopted a cute demeanor, placing her index fingers on her cheeks while smiling. "Just kidding. Tee-hee." [A reminder. You are cringe.] Parita stopped playing. She pretended to walk away, but she ordered the system to store all monster bodies in her inventory. While strolling through the field, she found the bodies of soldiers, whom their colleagues had left behind. Parita searched further, but she couldn’t find the corpse of a fallen adventurer. It seemed their friends had brought them back to the city. Parita traveled deeper into the farm, beyond the battle site. After proceeding for 10 minutes, she spotted footprints of multiple giant beasts and traces of carnage. The farm, which should have been thriving with medicinal plants, was destroyed. Only scattered dirt and remnants of consumed plants were present, with no intact herbs. The footprints of the beasts could be seen everywhere, making it hard to follow. Parita bent down, examining the tracks with a puzzled expression. ’Where should I start looking? They all look the same everywhere.’ [To draw them in, you can mark your territory with urine.] ’Peeing while streaming?! Are you crazy?!’ [Or you can go southwest from this location.] Parita rolled her eyes. Sometimes, she felt like the system was just trolling her. Following the clue, Parita moved southwest, tracking the monster’s trail and observing the surrounding scenery. 30 minutes after the long walk, the footsteps and their path all pointed in one direction. Parita stopped proceeding in a straight line and followed the traces. A giant pit came into view. Parita peeked into the sinkhole and measured the depth. In her estimation, it was roughly 50 meters deep and 100 meters wide, and not something a man from this world could have made. ’Wow, did a meteor fall here?’ Parita was stunned by the sheer size of the pit. [If a Starve of this world can’t find organic food, it will often turn to consuming minerals instead. This area is rich in iron veins. To a Starve, strategic resources like iron or coal are nutritious. It will stay and eat everything until there is nothing left. Then, the next biggest food source, human towns, will become its next destination.] ’Wait. You told me before that only the Starve eat minerals. What about the Hungers?’ When Parita looked more intently at the pit, she saw the bright eyes of the beasts at the bottom. Several of them came out of a cave at the base. Watching further, she saw all ten Hungers that had fled the battle come together. Parita licked her lips. She got up and prepared her gladius. ’Say, will my sword aura reach them?’ The skill is designed for fighting at close range. Nevertheless, although it’s inefficient, you can consume more ’charges’ to increase the distance. In this case, it requires five charges per strike to reach the bottom. ’So, five skill points per strike?’ ’Alright. Good to know.’ Parita raised the gladius. Moving according to the implanted memory, she swung down. The weapon was bathed in golden light, which expanded into a crescent shape that descended into the pit. The energy blade grazed a mole-type Hunger’s arm. It hissed in pain, and the other monsters got agitated. They roared and began climbing walls, chasing after Parita. "Ah, I missed. What a waste of five charges." Parita glanced at her status menu. She could use it 19 more times. Making it count, she treated the short sword as a firearm instead of a melee weapon. She pointed the tip toward an approaching mole-type Hunger. Parita concentrated her sword aura at the tip. The weapon gleamed once more and extended like Sun Wukong’s staff. The gold energy traveled in a straight line and pierced through the mole’s head. The energy faded, and the monster fell to the bottom of the pit, dead. The death of the mole Hunger stirred the monster pack. Enraged, their climbing speed quickened. Instantly, they leaped out of the hole. One of which, a boar Hunger, bore fangs and opened its mouth to swallow Parita whole. The mocap suit took over. Parita shifted her position to an overhead kendo stance, then brought her sword down in a swift cut. A sword aura flashed and bisected the boar before it could even reach her. Its corpse and organs parted and scattered everywhere in the sky above her. The mocap suit launched her upwards next and followed an ape-type Hunger, which had escaped from the pit with the others. The monster boasted six arms and two human faces. The back of its head was replaced by a human-like face, allowing it to have eyes to see behind itself. The 5-meter-tall ape was still in the air after the leap. It fell due to the gravity. On its way back, Parita intercepted its falling trajectory. The motion capture suit gave Parita back control and assessed her reflexes. Without bickering with the system, Parita’s eyes narrowed while she mimicked the previous kendo stance. She swung downward while airborne. Even though it wasn’t perfect, the sword energy split the ape, going from its right shoulder to its left waist. The torso separated, and blood sprayed out. Parita’s face and body were spattered with some of the blood. The mocap suit retook her body. Parita flipped in midair and grabbed a piece of the ape’s corpse, using it as a foothold. Kicking it, she switched the falling trajectory, charging at two giant crabs that moved together. [Take notes. In midair, it takes a lot of core strength to move. If you master it, you can walk in the sky using brute force.] As an example, the mocap suit spun Parita’s body, similar to a gymnast, while correcting her posture. Holding the gladius, she sent out two more long-distance sword auras, which struck the two crabs. Their heads were split apart, and they collapsed. Parita landed safely. She looked around and took notes of three giant boars, one mole, and one ape. A loud noise came from the pit. The six-eyed lion also leaped over her head and landed in front of her. Without turning back, the ground under Parita’s feet trembled. An earth spike emerged and hit Parita’s belly, pushing her backward. Her body was flung in midair as the spike failed to penetrate her leather armor, but her body began falling into the deep pit. The boars sneered and chased after her. While falling into the pit, the mocap suit switched back to Parita’s control. Learning from the best, she flipped in midair and rotated her body. Her feet touched down at the pit’s base, cushioning her descent. Due to the height, her knees bent. She lowered her posture and instinctively placed a hand on the ground, preventing her face from hitting the hard surface. After the superhero landing, Parita looked up. Three boars were already above her. [Now, you’re on your own. Use what you’ve learned so far.] Parita kicked the ground, and the first boar’s giant foot stomped at the area that she had been earlier. Retaliating, she swiped the gladius across its face. Its head was split in two. The second boar and the third boar hissed and charged toward her in unison. She jumped lightly and got out of the way. The two beasts slammed into each other. She shanked the second boar’s head, pulled the weapon, and sliced the third’s face with a sword aura. Both boars whined and fell. Parita jumped, escaping from the pit. While she was midair, the lion opened its mouth, and a giant fireball manifested. The ape also leaped and caught Parita with two of its six hands. It pushed her in front of its face, holding her still. The fireball from the lion was launched, targeting her.
