• • • Eve Elite Edward Jone's POV • • • Adams and I slept in each other's arms without realising it. "It's Morning Eve!" Maryline barges into my room, she moves straight to the window blinds and opens them as usual without inspecting the room. The early morning light of dawn seeps into the room as soon as Maryline opens the blinds. He immediately wakes up when the light strikes his sight. "Aaarrrr!" she quiver when she turns and finds Adams in bed. "Sorry, my prince, I had no idea of your presence. I thought you left last night!" Maryline widens her stare in frustration. "It's fine!" he gently gets up from the bed. He fixes his shirt then his tie, then he hangs his coat on his shoulders holding it with two fingers. "See you later!" he kisses my forehead then he leaves. While Maryline is still in shock "Why didn't you stop me?" she moves to me whispering as soon as Adam left... "Haha, no, no!" I seriously nod my head "That facial expression, yes, the one you have right now, I won't trade this for anything." I taunt as I slowly rise from the bed. She tries to hit me but I escape around the bed "I will kill you, Eve!" she runs, following me around but I run faster than her in our human form and her running style is so funny, she runs like an old tortoise "It serves as a good lesson. Next time knock before entering and stop barging in." I tease as I run. "Don't be silly I will never knock!" she seats in bed exhausted "I give up!" she pants. I seat near her with a worried gaze my smile fading away and she immediately notices it. "What's wrong? Talk to me, Eve. I know this gaze." she rolls her eyes worriedly because she knows me so well. "Go on!" she insists... "Who is Adams Toler, truly?" I ask. She lifts her brow "He just left your room, you spent the night with him!" she gets silly. "You know what I mean! Who is he, his reputation? Why does he want to marry me?" I barely frown in frustration. "No need to get pathetic about it. I will tell you all that I know but for now, get up and go and take a bath" she pulls me out of bed to the bath. "Thank you, Maryline!" I hug her tightly before undressing and entering the bath. My bath is a small cabin found in my room, behind its door, you will find a big wooden bowl fixed on the grown where I usually take my bath. Then my shower is a wooden bucket hanging up with thing holes in it. I was in my shower when I heard "I have a surprise for you, today." she says. "What is it?" I get excited. "Finish with your bath first!" before she can finish her statement, I'm out of the bath already, I can't wait to see her surprise. "I'm done!" I walk out completely naked and wet. For the first time, I'm not shy to stand naked in front of Maryline, not as she has ever since me naked, she always sees me naked on daily basis but the only difference today, is that I'm not shy. "Eve doesn't be silly, you have to dress up before anything!" she can't help but grins at my excitement. She helps me to put on my robe then she combs my hair. "Now you're ready!" she perks my hair then she moves to my front, clenching my chin with her hands full of blistering "I love the young lady that you're becoming, now you're filled with much life and joy and I love it." she now kisses my forehead. I simply nod. "Let's leave, it's time for the surprise!" she says. We walk out of the palace with our horses and jog to nowhere, she said it was a surprise so I wait. "Where are we going to?" I can keep quiet. "Be patient my Queen and don't forget that it's a surprise. You will soon see it." she simply smiles. We jog until we reach where we can see a big gate covered with grasses from a distance but it isn't that far again. "Where are we now?" words honestly escape. "We're at the gate of Karat, the gate which separates our world from that of the humans." she steps down from her horse and I immediately follow her down, curiously. "Wow! So humans are real? Can they come to our world or us to theirs? Maryline, I want to see what they look like?" I eagerly ask. The gate looks endless, so big that one can't is very big that one can't even see the end and this fascinates me. "This can is not seen by humans, only obscure creatures and no Human has ever passed the gate or moved in here before but we can go to their world any time we wish," she said. "Why so?" I wonder aloud. "It is counted that, a great magician called Kattegat, created the gate and cast a spell on it to save the gate from human hunters and to save humans from stepping into this dangerous world." she moves forward with her horse and I follow. "Kattegat believes in the presentation of every species. For him, no species was more important than another. So since humans were wicker compared to us, he decided to create a clear separation. Can you imagine the most fascinating thing, Kattegat did?" she gets super excited "I have no idea tell me." I rapidly retort. "When we pass this gate all our powers disappear, just in a click. They became nonexistent in the human." she softly grins "I love it thou, because it makes us equal!" she explains. "Wow! This is so unbelievable. When are we going to the human world then?" "Calm down young girl!" she lifts her brow. "Why is it that no one has eradicated the spell? I think it will be a good idea if we can have our powers in both places" "Young girl, you have no idea about what you're talking about." she shakes her head in dismay then she answered my question "Since Kattegat, our world has not known such a great magician again. To date magicians are extinct!" We slowly approach the gate. "Who are these men? It's like they're living here, by the gate?" I notice some small rock buildings with men camping around, some are cooking while some are sharpening their weapons. "They're called Guardians. They are warriors of the two greatest clans; the Solis and the Caelum clan," she answers. "Why only two clans?" I ask. "Girl, you're asking a lot of questions" Maryline murmurs just when this man approaches us. "Maryline!" he gaily calls. "Jack! It's been a while!" she happily utters. "Time flies. Who is this beautiful lady by you!" he says. "Her name is Eve Elite Edward Jobe, heiress of late King Edward and now our..." he cuts Maryline "Our Queen!" he concludes. He immediately bows in reverence "Welcome my Queen!" "Everyone gather here, the queen is around!" he shouts to the others as soon as he stands up. All the great worries gathered in straight lines and together they all bow in reverence for me "Welcome Queen of the Solis kingdom." they are barely up to thirty men and they look happy. "My pleasure!" I simply nod. "Return to your duties." Jack orders "I will personally escort them around." he adds and the men leave immediately. "Why is this pace scanty? Where are all the soldiers? The last time I visited this place I couldn't count the number of men. Where are they now?" she seems troubled. "King Demon ordered me to send three fourth of the population back to their various families and trust me some troopers happily left saying that this place has been very calm for the past years so they found it needles for them to stay." he sadly replies "Some even said that they were tire of taking care of grasses, haha," he adds. "This is not a good sign." She exclaims "I would have left as well but sadly I have no one waiting for me there and this is the same for these few men who have stayed back." he's shoulders slump helplessly. "King Demons is up to something." She insists. "Exactly my thoughts, but there is nothing we can do apart from waiting." Jack recklessly retorts. "Sure!" she gets thoughtful. "Anyway, what brings you here?" Jack asks curiously. "I wanted our young Queen to visit around and if possible visit the human world but now I've changed my mind and we will do it another day." she answers clearly "I have to hurry to the palace to tell the others what I've seen," she murmurs to Jack "Good idea, but be very careful and take care of yourself" he warns. "Definitely. Thank you for your time but it's time we leave!" she said. "You are most welcome!" hugs her while he bows in reverence for me.
