*Third person's point of view* He drove the car at very high speed on the empty road as it was midnight. "Drive slow," His father who was sitting next to him instructed, but he wasn't listening to anything. Suddenly a car passed beside their's, scaring his father. Fortunately, they didn't hit each other. "What are you doing? drive carefully!" His father angrily said, but ignoring his words he continued driving, and they luckily reached their home safely. Loudly slamming the door of the car behind him, he moved towards the entrance of the home. His father unlocked the door and they entered in. Showing his anger and frustration, he threw a crystal vase. "Now it's enough, I'm tolerating your behavior since the last hour. Behave yourself. Behave like a human," his mother scolded him. "Oh! You are fed up with my behavior in just an hour, and didn't you think about her for one moment before marrying her off to Maaz?" Shayaan bellowed with an angry expression on his face. He never behaved like that before. He didn't felt angry, even in most problematic situations, but it was the question of his sister's life and happiness. "You are fed up with my aggressiveness in just an hour, mummy. What if Maaz shows his aggressive attitude to Rabiya? You both ruined her life!" Shayaan roared in anger. "Shayaan-" Tabassum tried to say something, but she couldn't. She was witnessing her son in such anger for the first time. "You both know very well, Maaz loves that girl. Then, how did you agree to marry Rabiya with Maaz? What if he doesn't forget that girl?" Shayaan bellowed again, putting forth his point. For a moment, Faiz felt a pang in his heart. "Maaz is a very nice man, he'll never betray his wife and family," Tabassum said confidently. "But what if that nice man doesn't betray his ex-girlfriend?" Shayaan said, but Tabassum cut his sentence. "I always wanted to get Rabiya married to Maaz, and today-" Tabassum said lightheartedly. "Oh! Now I understand why you agreed to this proposal without even thinking!" Shayaan said with a shocked expression. His bloodshot eyes were enough to portray his annoyance. "Rabiya is our daughter, and we have done what was best for her. I know it was a sudden decision but, she will be very happy with Maaz, In Sha Allah!" Tabassum told Shayaan, who didn't get her point. "What are you doing?" Tabassum asked him when he drew out his mobile phone from his pocket. "I'm calling her to ask if they reached or not. If she's fine or not?" Shayaan said furiously. "Don't behave like a fool, they must have reached home, and don't call her," Tabassum said and Faiz nodded. But Shayaan stood on his spot, not thinking of his mother's words. "I'm calling her," He dialed her number, but Faiz snatched the mobile phone from his hand. "Shayaan, behave like a mature man, not like a child," Faiz scolded him and cut the call before it could ring. "She is married now, you have to understand," Tabassum said softly, making Shayaan realize. He looked at the clock whose hands pointed towards the second hour. It wouldn't be fine to call her at this time. Shayaan walked to his room after taking his mobile from Faiz's hand. "Don't call her without my permission," Tabassum instructed when he was just entering his room. "Tabassum," Faiz said slowly. "Hm?" "Shayaan is not wrong at his place. What if Maaz won't treat Rabiya well?" Faiz said to his wife, his face colorless. "Nothing will happen, it might take some time, but they will be happy with each other. Have faith in Allah," Tabassum said. *** *Maaz's point of view* "Bhai, baba has summoned you," I was sitting on the lawn when he came. "Raahim, disappear from my sight, I don't want to talk to anyone right now." "But baba wants to talk to you-" Raahim repeated. "Say baba, that I have saved his reputation, that is enough. Now I don't want to talk to him," I screamed. Raahim tried to control his anger. After all, he's my brother and we both have the same blood which heats up very fast. He backed off after glaring at me. ''Go to hell," Raahim mumbled while walking towards the mansion. "You go to hell, you all go to hell!" I yelled, and he gave me a deadly glare before entering the house. After a while, my mobile phone started ringing. I looked up at the caller ID and found the name Baba. "Yeah, baba," I received the call and asked with frustration. "Come in my room," He ordered and disconnected the call. Why does he always order me? I hit the bench with my fist. After taking in a long breath and letting it out, I stood and walked towards his room. Entering the room, I found ammi and baba sitting on the sofa with Abdullah bhai. Raahim was standing too, but when he saw me entering, he left the room. Abdullah bhai also left the room after gesturing me to sit with our parents. "You both are now husband and wife, accept it. Forget about your past. That girl isn't in your fate, Rabiya is," Baba explained, but I played with my mobile, trying to show him that he was wasting his time. ''Maaz, your baba is saying something," Ammi said and I looked at her. I tried to control myself to say something wrong, but blood was boiling inside. "Now go to your room," Baba again ordered me, and I marched towards my room with loud footsteps to show my frustration. "Maaz," I heard Abdullah Bhai's call when I passed by his room. The door was already open, and he was waiting for me on the doorstep. "Yeah, bhai," "Come in," He said. I entered the room and found bhabhi sponging Zunera's forehead with a wet cloth. "What happened to Zunni?" I asked. For a second, I forgot my own situation, looking at my little doll (Zunni) in that condition. "Fever, that's why we left the function in between," bhabi replied. "Maaz, I have to talk to you," bhai said and I nodded, I already knew what he was going to say. I sat down on the bed next to Zunni, checking her temperature. "We did leave the function, but Baba and ammi informed us about-" Bhai abruptly stopped. "Bhai, I don't want to talk about this," I said in frustration, he came to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Maaz, what happened was wrong, but-" "Bhai, Ateeq uncle's ego and baba's reputation snatched her from me," I lamented. "I can understand your situation," Abdullah bhai replied. "No, you can't, none of you can!" I whisper-shouted because Zunni was sleeping. Bhabi passed me a glass of water. I gulped that in one go, but it wasn't enough for putting off the anger which was burning inside me. "Was baba wrong on his place?" bhai asked me and I shook my head. "But, bhai why-" "Sometimes, situations in our lives become such, that we cannot do anything. We feel helpless, after which everything is just a game of destiny," bhai said wisely and I just stared at him. "Maaz, just think about Rabiya for a while-" Bhabi said, but I interrupted her. "Never. I'll never think about her. I'll never think about any other girl except- except my-" bhai didn't let me complete my sentence. "She is not yours anymore!" bhai said a little louder, but bhabi gestured him to speak in a low voice, fearing Zunni would wake up. "Fine. Don't think about Rabiya. But please don't throw your rage on her, never make her suffer. She is also stuck with you in this situation. She married you just to save Baba's reputation, she is not the culprit." Bhabi said and I just nodded. "Why would I make her suffer," I told bhai and bhabi. I don't even want to see her face. "Go to your room," Bhai instructed and I nodded. *** *Third person's point of view* She sat in his room as his bride. She was nervous, while he was angry. "Rabiya~ where are you stuck?" She mumbled under her breath. I'm not ready for this... The sound of the twisting knob of the door made her heart jump even more and beat faster. She gulped and held her hands tightly as she took a deep breath. He entered the room and slammed the door behind him, which frightened Rabiya a little. "Assalamualaikum," She said slowly and nervously in a shivering voice when she remembered Asma's instructions. I think he did not listen, she thought. "Assalamualaikum," she greeted him again, in a voice which was a little louder. Is she mad? Maaz rolled his eyes, before moving towards the dressing room. All these decorations, I decorated this room with my own hands, not for this Rabiya but for her. And now that she is not here, then what is the need for all this? When he came, after changing into his night suit, he blew off the candles, yanked the flowers off, and destroyed the entire decoration of the room. Rabiya felt everything happening around her. She simply held on to her heart, which was ready to pop out at any moment. She was shivering and trying to look at what was happening, but her face was covered with the veil. Once satisfied with his outburst, Maaz moved to the bed. Rabiya's heart skipped a few beats when she felt his footsteps coming closer. She tightly shut her eyes, tightening her fist, clenching her dupatta in it. She felt sweat dripping down her forehead. Ya Allah, please, please. I'm feeling scared, please help me. I'm not ready to accept this marriage. She sat in the center, and her red dupatta was sprawled all around. Maaz threw a corner of the dupatta to her side and lay on the bed, facing opposite to her. Covering himself with a blanket, he didn't pay any attention to her like she didn't exist. What has happened to me? I was very happy, but my life turned upside down. Both were having the same thoughts, but their situations were completely different. I don't want to see her face, Maaz thought. I want to see him. I want to know how does he look, Rabiya's heart demanded. Is she my wife? Maaz asked himself, but his heart refused to believe. Thank god, he hasn't come closer to me. I am not ready for that. Rabiya sighed in relief, in her head. I wish she, my love would be here, at Rabiya's place with me, Maaz's heart wished. He realized Rabiya was still sitting there and her face was still covered with the veil. Maaz had been laying on the bed for at least 15 minutes, but Rabiya was still sitting in the same spot. Romantic, loving, caring, loyal, trustworthy, will he be the same as my dream husband? Rabiya wondered. Why is she still sitting? Maaz asked himself in frustration. "Why are you still sitting?" Maaz expressed, without moving an inch from his place. He didn't even move his head to see her. "Umm, I- I-" Rabiya stammered, unable to form coherent words. "Get sleep," Maaz ordered in frustration. She listened to his voice and lifted her veil with both hands. Sadly, she always wanted her husband to remove her veil and give her a wedding gift, but the situation was different. She looked at him but only his back was visible. After folding the red dupatta she placed it on the side table and rested on her back with the headboard to sleep, but her dress wasn't comfortable. She leaned forward again. Why is she still sitting on my head? Is it hard for her to hear or is she mad? Maaz mentally smacked his head. She is a girl, she must be uncomfortable with you Maaz! "Why are you not sleeping?" He asked, still not turning. This time, his voice didn't sound like it was angry. When Rabiya heard his normal voice, her heart relaxed, warmth spreading through her body. "I- I don't have any other clothes, and I can't sleep in...this," She stuttered, while playing with her fingers nervously, her eyes cast down. "Take mine," Maaz replied without ignorantly. All his senses were busy thinking about his unsuccessful love. His heart and mind both were busy shedding tears for losing her, yet invisible on the outside. WHAT? What did he say?! Her eyes widened. Whatever you heard, her heart replied. She stood and slowly shifted towards the dressing room. She opened a cupboard and found it full of official clothes. Then, she opened the second one which was half occupied by the jackets and blazers and the half was occupied by accessories. OH MY GOD! What a huge collection of clothes he has! But doesn't he own a single pair which I can wear at night? Rabiya mumbled childishly, showing her tantrums as usual. Only, this time no one was there to handle them. Then, she opened the third cupboard and found a collection of jogging suits, night suits, and kurta-pajamas. She smiled and picked a pair of trousers and a t-shirt, but she felt a little uncomfortable going in front of Maaz in those clothes, so she picked his kurta-pajama. After taking a long shower, Rabiya changed into his clothes. She felt much better and comfortable in his clothes. Entering the bedroom she shuffled towards the bed with wet hair. The air-conditioning made her shiver. She lay down on the corner of the bed. Both were laying down on the same bed facing opposite each other. They had enough space between them that a person could sleep easily. Rabiya still felt cold. She was shivering, but she didn't dare to share the blanket he used. To warm herself, she folded her knees to her stomach and wrapped her arms around her knees, yet she shivered. Maaz felt her laying on the bed, he turned a little to see her and found her lying just like a ball. Can't she even cover herself in a blanket? Go to hell, mumbling, he closed his eyes, trying to sleep. But, sleep could not consume both of them. It's like I'm in Antarctica. What to do? Rabiya muttered while chattering her teeth. "Aa-choo! Aa-choo!" Rabiya's sneezing and sniffing drew Maaz's attention; he turned again a little to see her and found her in the same ball-like position. Silly girl, can't she take the blanket if she feels cold? Maaz rudely threw the corner of the blanket on her. Rabiya turned to see him but he was already facing his back to her. She grabbed the edge, and slowly covered herself in her softness. Not only her body but her heart also felt warmth in it. Seems like he is not a bum and substandard man, a smile appeared on her lips. She turned again to see him, but only his back was visible. Both of them were busy in their thoughts, and they didn't realize when they entered slumber.
