~Third person POV~ She walks down the stairs of the helicopter sassily and two of her guards quickly run over to escort her to the car. She is wearing a stunning lavender gown, showing how expensive and sheer it is. She is beautiful and she doesn't need anyone to tell her that she is. Her fair skin glows in the sun and the shades she's putting on, completes her exquisite look. "Welcome madam Ella." One of the guards bow to her as he opens the door to the car for her. She takes off her shades and glances at the guard before entering the car. The guard quickly enters the front seat and the other one enters the other car at the back. The driver starts the car and drives down to William's mansion with the other car following behind them. She steps out of the car and walks into the mansion while the guards escorts her. As she steps inside, she takes out her phone from her hand bag and dials on it. The receiver picks up on the fourth ring and she places it on her ear. "Hey baby." She smiles widely. "What is it?" William, the one she is calling, asked from the other end of the call. "I am back at the mansion, the guards says you're at your father's mansion." She says still smiling widely. "So what do you want me to do then? Come over to take you to your room? Don't you know the way to your room?" William asked her through the phone. The smile on her face disappears as she pouts her lips almost crying. "I just wanted to tell my husband that I'm back, is it so wrong? Don't you even miss me?" She says biting her lips hard to prevent herself from crying. "Listen Ella, if you have nothing important to tell me, then don't even bother calling me. I'm already in a bad mood as it is." And the phone line goes dead. Ella withdraws the phone from her ear biting her bottom lips as tears gathers in her eyes. She slowly goes up through the staircase and enters her room. She places her bag on the bed and folds her arms across her chest. It's been two years since they got married and William had never for once cared nor created time for her. They get into arguments all the time. She knows clearly that he doesn't love her but only married her because of her father's connections but she didn't care. She had always loved him since they were little and was really happy when he said he wants to marry her. She readily agreed thinking that she would be able to make him love her but it's not been easy because soon after they got married, he never looked at her or even bothered if she existed. *AT THE FAMILY'S MANSION* William sits on the bed in his room holding a glass of wine in his hand. His men has informed him that the underboss has taken Kemi to his mansion and could mean that his plan is going just as he wants. If she could succeed in getting him to trust her, she would be able to provide solid information for him, to take him down. His phone vibrates beside him and he glances at it. A frown forms on his face as his wife's name pops up on the screen. Why did she have to come back? She would have remained at wherever she was. He really can't deal with her rants at the moment. If not for the fact that he needed to get her father on his side, he would have gotten nothing to do with her. Since he knew she was crushing hard on him for a long time, he took the advantage of that and asked her to marry him. His phone keeps vibrating and he puts it on the table before lying down in the bed. He turns to the door as he hears a knock. "Come in." His bodyguard walks in and bows. He stares at the guard waiting for him to start saying something but when he doesn't say anything, he sits up. "Are you going to say something or get out?" He slowly raises his head, "The mission is done consigliere." "Okay? Then why were you looking like it was a fail? I thought something went wrong with the supplies." "It did go well but there's a problem." He furrows his brows and sits up on the bed. "And what is it?" "We got the supplies but I think someone is watching us." William moves his hand from his sides and entwines his fingers together looking at the guard. "And who could that be? You couldn't handle it?" The guard swallows hard, "The thing is, we have no idea who but I'm having a feeling it's someone from the inside." William blinks looking at the guard. "Who do you think it is?" He bows his head quickly, "I have no idea consigliere." William looks away and starts thinking. No one knows that he's getting supplies in secret. The underboss is the one in charge of the supplies but he plans on messing with it so the underboss would be framed for losing part of the supplies which would seem like he's cheating but if the underboss have already caught on, then it's a complete mess but if it's not him, then who? He turns to the guard, "How did you know someone was watching? Why did you not try to find out who?" "We tried to consigliere but couldn't find anything" William sighs and nods. "Fine then, you may go." The guard bows and leaves the room. He pokes his lips and runs his hands on it thinking deeply. He would have to make absolutely sure that there would not be any mistake in this. ********** ~Kemi's POV~ After the doctor finish treating me, he leaves the room not before telling me to ignore whatever the underboss did to me and be strong. He's such a sweet guy. I sit up on the bed and my mind goes back to what had happened. I can't believe I kissed him and l'm more in shock with myself that I even slapped him. Sometimes, I don't even think before I do things. What if after I slapped him, he hits me or beats me up. I really don't know what came over me. I stand up from my bed wincing a little from the pain in my leg. I limp slightly as I walk around the room looking for water to drink. I couldn't find even a bottle on the table and my throat is feeling dry. "As big as this room, there's no fridge?" I murmur to myself as I limp towards the door. I knock on the door, "Anyone there? Please, can I get water? Hm? Please?" But there's no answer. Is it that that there's no one there? Is that even possible? Or maybe they don't want to answer me. I reach for the door and pulls it back by the handle and shockingly enough, the door opens. I stare at it in shock before l open it wider. I slowly limp out of the room and look around. There's no guard at the door or anywhere. Oh wow. I limp through the passage slowly, trying to see if I can find the kitchen. I walk over to the door close to the staircase. Is this a room? I wonder as I fold my hand in a fist, ready to knock. Just as I move my hands to knock, I pause when I start hearing voices from the room. "The consigliere is definitely messing with your supplies underboss."I hear a deep voice which obviously belongs to a guy says from the room and I move closer to the door placing my ear on it. "You didn't confront them, did you?" I hear another voice ask and I don't need someone to remind to tell me who it belongs to. What is the underboss and the other person to, talking about? What supplies and what does it have to do with the consigliere? I press my ear harder on the door but carefully so I wouldn't get caught. "I believe he wants to frame you for incompetency underboss. It's a good thing we watched his men closely like you have told us to." The guy's voice says again. I hear the underboss scoffs, "William just keep surprising me." I don't hear him say anything else and I wonder why. Just as move my head away from the door, it opens and my eyes widen when I see a guy pointing a gun at me. I quickly raise my hand up in panic. "I wasonlylookingforthekitchen." I say so fast that I wonder if he even heard me. "How come you're here?" I hear the underboss's voice before I see him walk out of the room. I look up at him and when I see the deep frown on his face, I quickly turn my eyes to the ground. "I em...I couldn't find water so l called  someone but there was no one. I was very surprised that the door was left unlocked, so l came out to find the kitchen so I can get water." I explain trembling on the spot hoping he believes my half truth story. He didn't say anything for a while. "I thought someone was guarding her door?" I hear him ask and I raise my head to see he is talking to the guard. "I...um..." The guard stammers "Go and reminisce on your mistake." He says curtly to the guy and he bows in obediene before he walks away. The underboss turns to me and looks at me with his eyeballs circling around me. "I will go back to the room now." I say quickly and turns around. "It seems that your leg is working perfectly now. You should start working then." I pause and turn to him in shock. Is he saying I should start working for him when my leg still hurts? He turns away without another word and move close to the staircase. I see a young brown skinned guy climbing up the stair case approaching. He is wearing a white suit holding a briefcase in his right hand. "Good morning boss." He says smiling broadly. Who is this guy now? A worker in the mafia too? The underboss nods, "Ron, show her around and what she's going to do." Then he walks away, climbing down the stairs. Ron stares at me blinking his eyes as he dips his hands into his pocket. "Good day chocolate, I'm Ron." I look down at my body and realizing he called me chocolate because of my brown skin, makes me smile. "Hi, I'm Kemi." He pokes his lips and roams his eyes around me. "Is it Oluwakemi, or Oluwakemisola?" He asks pronouncing both names wrongly. I chuckle, "It's the first one." He nods running his fingers on his bottom lip, "Hmm, so you're Yoruba." I stare at him with my lips switching a little to the side and then I nod my head, "Obviously" He nods, "Okay. Well, back to the assignment I was given. "He starts walking to the front and I start limping after him. He is walking too fast and I'm finding it hard to catch up because of my leg. "Ron, please slow down. I have an injury." He turns around and move his eyeballs from my head down to my legs. He pauses, leaving his eyes glued to the gauze wrapped around my left leg. "Oh." He says looking at my leg. Then he stretches out his hand to me. "Come on then." My lips forms a wide smile and I limb closer to him placing my hands in his. He's such a sweet guy. "Thanks." I say as he covers my hands with his and starts moving, slowing down his pace so l can catch up. "How did you get hurt by the way?" He asks still looking at my leg. I sigh, "Long story." He nods and doesn't press on with the question. He simply leads me to the kitchen just before the living room and my eyes widen at the size and how beautiful it looks. This kitchen alone could be my family's entire house. "When you're upstairs, you can make food in this kitchen, but the main kitchen is downstairs" Ron says as he slowly enters the kitchen with me limping beside him. "There's another kitchen downstairs?" I ask rubbing my other hand on my shoulder. He nods, "Of course. Though, whichever of it you prepare the food dosen't matter though, you'll still have to go and serve at wherever he is." He shrugs as he says it. I continue looking around the kitchen as he talks. "But...But it doesn't look like there are groceries" My eyes scan through the kitchen. I could see utensils and other kitchen equipment of course, but I cant see any groceries. "Or are they in the fridge?" I ask. He goes to over to the fridge leaving me standing beside the counter and he opens it. I hear him heaving a sigh before he turns around to me. "I guess the previous girl didn't restock before she left." "The two kitchen is out of foodstuffs?" "I don't know about the other one but she only used this one when she was still working here." He shrugs. "Well, you can check that later. For now, come with me." He starts walking out of the kitchen and I slowly start making my way out as well limping. He turns around to me and sighs. "I completely forgot that you're crippled" He walks back into the kitchen. I roll my eyes and chuckle, "I'm not crippled, it's only an injury." "You might end up as one sooner or later." He shrugs before stretching out his hands for me. I hold on to it for support and follows him out of the kitchen. He leads me pass the large living room to a door at the south-west corner. "This is the underboss's room." He says pointing to the door. I look at the door and nod my head. "You should make sure the room is always tidy. And when I say tidy..." He leans close to my ear. "I mean thoroughly, there should be no stain or you do it again till it's spotless." He smiles as he moves away from my ear. I shrug, "No problem." He leads me pass the room back to where the kitchen is but he takes me over to another room close to the kitchen. What room is this? He enters into the room and I follow him holding his hand. "This..." He waves his hands around the room. "Is the hearth room." I look at the room in awe. There is a fireplace and it has a similar setting like a living room. Wow. This is where just one human stays? "Make sure this place is always tidy." He says before turning around to leave the room. I follow him and he leads me downstairs. "This is the wet bar." He points at the mini bar area which has a sink and some chairs making it similar to bars outside. "This place have nothing to do with you, but it's your job to clean every corner. "Is there anything else?" I ask him. "The mansion is big so there are obviously more places for me to show you. I haven't shown you the media room, the library, the..." I cut him off, "No no. It's fine, don't worry. I can find my way around the rest of house." I shake my head as I wiggle my hands around the air. "I was ordered to take you around the house, Oluwakemi, and that's what I will do. So come along now." He starts moving upstairs to the third floor pulling me along. I could see an elevator and I wonder why we cant just use it. He shows me every corners of the house until my legs starts aching from the house tour. After he's done showing me around, he escorts me back to the room. "I will be taking my leave now." He says to me as he assists me to my bed. "Thanks Ron." I smile at him and he nods. "If I may ask, what's your job here?" I ask him. His eyebrows twitch, "Why do you want to know? Wanna take my job instead?" He asks with a serious expression that make me think I might have asked too much. I shake my head and turn away. He suddenly chuckles, "Just kidding. I'm Sir Lexis's personal assistant at the company." I nod slowly trying to figure out what company this mafia people have apart from their gangster business. "I will take my leave. Please make sure everything is in place." He says with a smile before leaving the room. I sigh and relax my back on the pillow. My mind goes back to what I overheard the underboss and his man talking about. I quickly shake the thought out if my head, it has nothing to do with me, there's no need on thinking about it. ~Third person's POV~ Ella sits at a bar in a club, drinking vodka directly from the bottle. She is already drunk and would soon be wasted if she continues but she doesn't care. She is going to drown herself in the drink since it's the only thing that can help her with her emotions. George who has been watching her from his seat keeps drinking his wine. He knows clearly that she's the consigliere's wife and he has seen her walk into the club but he wonders what she would be doing here all by herself. It's not safe. There's no way she would go around without her guards so he didn't bother going over to meet her, besides it's not his place.Just as he finishes his drink and is about leaving, a hand grips his jacket pulling him back. He turns around to see who it is and he looks at her in puzzle when he sees that it's her. "Hey there capo George." She says drunkenly as she giggles over nothing. George stares at her before moving his eyes down to his jacket. He removes her hands from his jacket and is about walking away but he pauses when he hears a loud thud. He turns around and sees Ella lying on the ground. He sighs and scratches his neck as he looks at her. "Not again." He murmurs as he keeps looking at her lying on the floor. Xoxo
