The trip to the ring shop is an amazing experience. After riding in Rory's car the Toyota Rv 2015 model (which is almost the coolest thing I've ever done) We enter the Finery store, a luxurious ring shop which Rory says deals with Diamond, Pearl, Gold and other precious stone accessories. The young Lady in her mid-twenties and formally dressed enough to be the one managing the place seems to be very happy to see Rory, as she flashes him a professionally trained smile and Rory, in turn, nods his head at her. "What do I get you, Mr Gate?" The woman asks, trailing behind him as Rory further strolls into the shop. "I need a ring, I know your shop is one of the best in the country." He replies his focus mostly on the rings in the show glass than on the lady. She smiles at what he said, "That indeed is true Mr Gate, we are the best, and the finest in the state, we rank the Second in the country in excellence." She boldly boasts, but who can blame her? I'll vote this shop from what I've seen around so far. "What kind of ring do you want if I might ask?" She curiously questions, making Rory stop looking. "An engagement ring." He quickly replies. The Lady whose presence has graced us for the past three minutes finally notices me and in an instant raises a rather displeasing brow at me. "For her?" She asks almost as if it was so impossible. Let's face it, Taylor, it is impossible. But she didn't have to make it so obvious. Her eyes carefully scan me from head to toe, not leaving out my boots and dress too and for the first time in so long, I feel insecure. I nervously bit my lips and look down, I'm so disappointed in me for quickly giving up in this battle, but who can blame me? I didn't come prepared. "What's wrong with her?" Rory demands coolly, but underneath the coolness, I can feel it's coldness. I raise my head to look at him. Why is he even asking? "She doesn't look like your type and she's nowhere near your league, her type sneaks into your life only to lay hold of what they can and leave." She mutter, in the meanest tone ever. She is right, in everything she just said, but why then does it hurt so much now? Maybe because she's saying it in Rory's presence. "What's your name?" Rory asks, dipping his left hand into his pocket and bringing out his phone. "Cassidy Jones?" She answers, a little confuse. Rory dials a number and places the phone to his ears, after ringing for a few seconds the line is answered. "Hello?" "Hello, I'm I speaking to Arthur Mc Finery?" Rory asks quickly. "Yes." The man on the other line replies before asking shortly after. "Who is this?" "It's Rory John Gate." The line goes dead in a minute before the other man speaks in a very friendly manner. "Mr Gate what can I do for you today." "Well I'm calling to report a staff of yours by the name Cassidy Jones whom because of her unprofessional attitude has made me change my mind on shopping at your store, how do you intend to get costumers if you keep such people as staff?" Cassidy gasp from where she stands and covers her mouth and I see horror and fear are written all over her face. "I am sincerely sorry for that unfortunate incident and more than anything, I do not want to lose your patronage to the store." The man on the phone says in a persuasive plea. "Oh, you've already lost that Mr Finery, it can only be restored if the lady in question is fired." My eyes nearly pop out when I hear his condition, does she deserve this? The man on the other line sighs deeply, as he's being asked to make a big decision. "Okay Mr Gate, I'll see to it immediately." Cassidy's eyes are glassy and she grabs my arm with apologetic eyes. "I'm sorry I said what I said, please I need this job, I'll do anything just please don't let him fire me." I'm speechless as I watch Cassidy beg in between tears to be helped, never have I been in this position before and it all feels weird to me. I give Cassidy a pitiful look and Rory catches me and glares at me. "Excuse us, Cassidy." Cassidy walks away and my eyes linger on her as she goes. "Stop that!" Rory snaps irritably. "What di-" I don't get to finish because Rory cut me off. "I see what you're doing and I hate to be argued with so I say stop it!" I almost jump at how tensed his tone is. We say no other word to each over after that, we are later attended to by a new Lady staff I guess is replacing Cassidy. Rory finally sees and chooses a white diamond ring and I know Paris would be more than thrilled with the ring, knowing diamond is her favourite precious stone. Rory immediately demands the price and when it's called, my mouth is hanging open. But Rory who doesn't seem to notice bring out his card and hands it over to the lady who does something on the machine and hands it back. Rory gives her a satisfactory nod before we exited the shop. We enter the car and I wait for the car to start, but it does not so I know something is up. I think I know what it is. "You're quiet." Rory remarks pulling in his seat belt and I do justice to mine. Okay, captain obvious. "That's because there's no reason to talk." He hisses' in annoyance, and reminds me. "You shouldn't pity her you know, she deserved it." "Since when do we get to play God and choose what we think other people deserve?" "It's was not playing God, Ms Snowfall don't tell me you supported her bullying you." How can he say that I support bullying? "I didn't," I exclaim, throwing my hands up. "Then what is this? For the little time, I've known you you've stood your ground no matter what and who you have to face in other to accomplish that, but there you were being insulted and degraded and yet you said nothing." He scolds in a frustrated manner. "Because she was right!" I don't mean to yell, but that's what I do. "I don't look like your class or in any way your league. Hell, I'm not even your fiancée."
