Chaos "I miss stripping." I look up from my phone and give Haru a confused look. "Seriously?" Haru just shrugs and goes back to applying her eyeliner-correction, my eyeliner. We're getting ready to go. to the mall, which is roughly an hour's drive away. "You know what stripping means to me," she says. I just shake my head and get up from the floor where I've been sitting. I do know what it means to her, but I wish she could find her "fix" somewhere else. "Can it wait a little?" I ask, looking for my jacket and combat boots. Haru looks at me through the mirror before glancing down. "I guess. But I really need it, Lev. I feel uneasy if I don't… I don't understand it myself, but-" "I understand. I'll look for a place that's safe enough. Okay? Just give me some time to figure it out." Haru gives me a small smile and puts the eyeliner away. I hand her one of my jackets, and she gratefully takes it. "Do you think that hot guy will come with us?" she asks with a grin as she slips her arms into the sleeves. "Which one?" I ask innocently. "The quiet, broody one." I just chuckle and walk out of my room. "Maybe," I say. "You ready?" Devil asks when he sees us come downstairs, and I nod. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot Killer leaning against the bar, watching me like always. I want to punch him in the face, but I also want to r****h that mouth of his. I push those thoughts away and smile at my brother. "Who has the pleasure of going with us?" I ask. Devil grins and points his thumb toward Iren and Jaxon. I hear Haru playfully moan in the background, and it takes everything in me not to laugh. She doesn't even have s*x, but she's insatiable. "Be nice," Devil jokes. "I'm not known to be nice," I reply, taking Haru's hand and dragging her away from her eye candy as we head outside. I completely ignore my stalker, like always. < Chaos +15 Points > I get on my bike and wait for Haru to hop on behind me. Instead, she walks over to Jaxon with a playful grin on her face. Iren just shakes his head while straddling his bike, leaning back to watch the scene unfold. I sigh, take out a cigarette, light it, and slowly inhale the toxic smoke. "So, can I ride with you or not?" Haru asks Jaxon, still grinning. Jaxon glares down at her-there's a good foot and a half difference between them. They honestly look ridiculous. I'd call it adorable, but I've always been a little weird. A normal person might call the cops. Haru looks small and sweet, while Jaxon looks like a murderous predator who could snap her neck with one finger. "Come on? Please?" Haru uses her big blue eyes and pouts slightly. I want to laugh when Jaxon actually looks away, clearly pained and not sure how to handle her. Jaxon is an anti-social guy who rarely speaks, using his intimidating presence to scare people off. Apparently, it's not working this time, and now he's at a loss. "Haru, leave the guy alone and get your ass on my bike," I command. Haru glares at me like she wants to kill me, but I give her a look that says, don't argue. She eventually gives up and climbs on behind me. "I almost had him," she murmurs in my ear. "You were messing with his head. Poor guy," I reply before starting my bike and pulling onto the road, heading for the big city. Two hours later… "Kill me. That would be mercy at this point." Haru giggles as Iren collapses into a chair outside a café inside the mall. Jaxon ran off about an hour and a half ago. Iris said he's nearby, but not close enough for us to see. I felt sorry for him. Devil caught the distraught look on his face when we walked into the lingerie store, and I waved him away quickly. No need to traumatize my brother's Enforcer. Iren had been flirting non-stop. We actually got kicked out of one store because a jealous husband complained about the "dangerous-looking man" who was "bothering" his wife. She didn't seem bothered, though. She looked thrilled. I've never had so much fun shopping for clothes, and I could tell Haru was warming up to Iren. "I'm gonna get some coffee. What do you guys want?" I ask, placing the shopping bags on one of the empty chairs. "Iced coffee with lots of cream!" Haru almost shouts. Iren shakes his head, declining, and leans all the way back in his chair, stretching out lazily. 2/4 < Chaos +15 Points As I head inside, I notice the envious stares from women who've caught sight of Iren. He's a good-looking guy-thick hair, solid build, and a face you wouldn't mind waking up to. But it's his eyes that steal the show -amber, wild, and intense. I take out my phone while I wait in the long line, scrolling through emails. The café's interior is nature-themed-wood and plants everywhere. It would be relaxing if the line wasn't so long. Just as it's nearly my turn, I hear a loud scream-and then gunshots. Close ones. Just outside kind of close. I nearly drop my phone, but shove it into my jacket and instinctively reach for the gun I always carry. I run outside, dodging the panicked crowd and searching for Haru and Iren. The table where we were sitting is empty. There are too many people, too much chaos. I get shoved and pulled by the frantic crowd, losing my footing. I trip over a body and fall face-down, shielding my head as feet stomp past me. I feel a rib c***k-maybe more-and curse, crawling along the floor, slipping in blood. After what feels like forever, I spot the table. Haru is on the ground with Iren covering her. Before I can reach them, strong hands grab my arms and haul me up. It's Jaxon, grimacing and scanning the surroundings. "What the hell happened?" I ask. "Shooter. More than one," he growls, carrying me to Haru. He sets me down, and Iren immediately shifts to cover me, pushing me close to Haru. "You okay?" I ask her, but she's completely out of it. I sigh and grab her hand, squeezing it. You're not alone, I hope she understands. "******g assholes," Iren mutters. I want to ask what's wrong, but I stay quiet. Jaxon takes cover and opens fire. The shots are deafening, disorienting. I want to help, but I know my aim is off with my ribs like this. "Iren, get up. I can protect us. Jaxon might need you," I say. He looks at me like I've lost my mind. I reach behind me, pull out my gun. "I think I've got a couple broken ribs, so my aim's s**t, but I can defend us if they get close. Help Jaxon." After a second, he nods and moves. I shove Haru behind a decorative boulder that now serves as cover and use my body to shield her. She 3/4 < Chaos grabs my jacket with shaking hands. Without a word, I hand her my hunter knife. She takes it. She's not a fighter, but she'll protect me if she has to. +15 Points > I spot movement and shoot. My aim is off, but I still take the guy out. The cut on his jacket tells me- bikers. Why the hell are we in the middle of a biker war? I shove the thought away. Another shooter. I fire again. A bullet tears into my thigh. I curse and ask Haru for the scarf she bought an hour ago. She hands it to me without hesitation. I wrap it tightly around the wound. Moments later, sirens wail. The mall falls eerily silent. "We need to go. Now. I don't want to get involved with the cops," Iren says, appearing beside us. Haru grabs her shopping bags, hands me a jacket to cover the hole in my jeans, and casually dumps all our weapons into a lingerie bag. She takes Jaxon's hand. I take Iren's. "Walk slow. Look scared. Hide the blood," I instruct. They nod. We make our way out. Outside, it's chaos. "Get to the bikes. I have to call Sherlock-he'll erase the footage," Iren says, dialing his phone. "What the hell was that? Bikers?" I ask Jaxon. He nods grimly. "Club business." "Oh, for f**k's sake, really?" I throw up my hands. Haru grabs my wrists and pulls them down. "Your ribs. Be careful," she hisses. "Like I'd even feel it," I shrug. My body is so used to pain, it barely registers anymore. It's just noise. Haru scolds me while still holding my hands. Iren finishes his call and returns. "Sherlock's on it. We need to get back-fast. How bad's your leg?" he asks, looking worried. +
