Chapter 16 Luna Aquamarine's POV My muscles were screaming in agony as I shifted positions on the bed . Every movement sent a jolt of pain through my body. My eyes drifted to the blood - stained sheet . I always thought I'd lose myself to someone I was in love with . Someone who loved me . And not a monster who I found myself bound to . There was a sudden knock on the door , " Luna Aquamarine ? " A gentle voice called out . I turned to see a young woman with a kind smile enter the room . She was followed by several other maids carrying trays of food and drinks which were placed on the table . Some carried bundles of clothes and other things . " I'm Juliet , your maid . We've been instructed to help you with your needs . " Her eyes roamed over my body . But I knew what she was more interested in . My flaws . But she didn't seem all that different from me . 0 Her skin was extremely pale , but her hair was as dark as coal , and her eyes were as blue as the clear sky , but they were also as sharp as a fox . Like a dark , ethereal beauty . Juliet gently helped me out of bed and supported me as we walked to the bathroom while the other maids went about their duties . In the bathroom , she helped me inside a wide tub filled with warm water and fragrant flowers . As I relaxed into the warm water , my muscles began to unbuckle . As I watched , she tilted the jar , and steamy clear liquid flowed into the bath water . The moment it touched the clear tub water , it began spreading a deep red hue through the bath . 1 felt a shiver run down my spine as I tried to sit up , but she gently pulled me down . " Relax , Luna , " Juliet said with a soothing smile . " It's just a healing potion . " Why in the Goddess's name were potions allowed here ? Katherine opened her mouth to speak , then she closed it back . She glanced around at the guards and glanced back at me . " Let's go somewhere private ," she whispered .
