Seeing the pirates already charging onto the ship, Du You knew he couldn’t wait any longer. Having experienced battles before, his reflexes were much faster than the rest. The skeleton beside him had already sprung into action. The skeleton didn’t have any special abilities or skills, but neither did the pirates. A pirate who had just stormed aboard began duelling with Du You’s skeleton, trading blows back and forth. Seizing his chance, Du You darted forward half a step, his long sword transforming into a glint of white light, plunging instantly into the pirate’s throat. "I don’t feel remorseful, could I be a sadist?" Du You mumbled to himself, but his hands did not cease, aiming for another pirate. The pirate braced for the onslaught, mercilessly slashing his broadsword towards Du You. Regrettably, that was in vain, their skill levels were too disparate. Du You effortlessly parried away the broadsword, leading the pirate instantly feeling the blade slipping from his control. By now, even the dumbest pirate could tell that Du You was no ordinary opponent. Du You wasted no time, as swords were generally quicker than broadswords. Pressing forward half a step, he slashed his long sword across the wrist of the pirate, causing it to fall to the ground along with the sword, effectively ending the pirate’s capability to continue fighting. The shocked pirate hadn’t even registered the pain of his wrist being severed when Du You’s sword had already penetrated his chest. Withdrawing his sword, he searched for his next target. His disbelieving face frozen in shock, the pirate didn’t even have the chance to retaliate before drawing his last breath. Meanwhile, Du You’s show of skill left everyone in awe. "Such velocity, such impressive swordsmanship," said a man standing next to Xi Qianxue. He was as robust as Lao Er, donned a bullhorn helmet and wielded two large iron hammers. "Hmph, he’s just a commoner," Lin Feng sneered dismissively. It seemed Xi Qianxue had no interest in Lin Feng’s opinion, her eyes sparkling with admiration, "Who could’ve imagined Du You, who has been overlooked for so long, harboring such refined swordsmanship skills, Daniu, can you gauge his skill level?" Without paying heed to Lin Feng, Daniu nodded, "If I’m not wrong, Du You’s swordsmanship has reached the 7th level. For someone to attain such a high level prior to their awakening, his talent in swordsmanship is truly terrifying. What a pity it would be if he were an Awakener of the Combat Class." "So he’s a waste, what use is a Summoning Class member with such talent in swordsmanship? They can’t learn any other types of swordsmanship in the future, unless they want to waste themselves." Everyone knew that Awakeners could learn skills outside their own profession. However, skills outside their profession wouldn’t bring any professional benefits, similar to Purple Thunder Gyrfalcon. And if the learned skill was completely inconsistent with their own profession, consuming it would be costly and the effect would be poor. The lower the consistency, the worse the situation. Therefore, a person from the Summoning Class would definitely not learn skills from the Combat Class, as that would be utterly unprofitable. Daniu and Xi Qianxue shot Lin Feng a sidelong glance without saying anything. "Let’s get moving, we can’t keep everyone waiting." "Let’s do this," whispered Xi Qianxue, instantly releasing an ice cone with a wave of her hand. This was a Magic-class skill, not a common skill, but a formal one. An ice cone directly turned a pirate into a block of ice, smashing into the deck and shattering into pieces. Daniu, wielding his two massive iron hammers, charged and smashed an approaching pirate into a bloody pulp. "Hmph, barbarian," Lin Feng grumbled. Following that, he drew his bow. Yes, Lin Feng was an Archer Class Awakener. However, the longbow in his hand was clearly not ordinary. The longbow emitted a brilliant white glow, signifying its superior quality. However, the luminosity of a weapon can be concealed after it is equipped. Lin Feng didn’t hide the glow, clearly showing off, but it was indeed dazzling. With every arrow shot, each carrying a faint white light, the pirates were at their wits ends. A single arrow was enough to pass right through a pirate. "Hmph, showing off," Lao Er sneered, watching Lin Feng’s action. Wielding his massive axe, he slashed a pirate in half. Looking at his enthusiastic expression, there was no sign of remorse for killing. He seemed eager for battle, a true killing machine. "If you look at his actions, he appears to be using an Archer type skill. His star rating is too low, his rank is only level 1, and he is not even of Magic-class, such a waste," said Daniu. Du You nodded slightly in agreement, indeed, if it were him, he would merely pull the bowstring and shoot arrows, completely unnecessary to use any skills, it wasn’t difficult to kill these pirates – one arrow, one kill. However, for Lin Feng, resorting to skills was necessary as the accuracy of his archery was dismal. In Du You’s point of view, Lin Feng’s basic archery skill is perhaps only at level 4, definitely not any higher. An arrogant yet lazy character, even with an affluent background, Du You was gradually less likely to consider him a worthy opponent as he didn’t seem to pose any threat. As for his jumping around, let him release his energy whilst he could. While carefully evaluating the performance of others, Daniu raised his hand-crossbow towards the sky to strike. Daniu’s target was always those pirates who swung over from the mast. Unfortunately for them, they were shot down by Daniu’s arrow before even landing. Despite the attack power of the hand crossbow not being very high, the arrows were smeared with deadly poison by Daniu. Whether or not they followed up with a strike, the pirates were as good as dead. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝓷𝓮𝓽 In just a brief moment, with their assistance, the pirates were scared out of their wits. The ones who came after broke ranks and beat a hurried retreat, severing their grappling hook intentionally. "Run, run fast, this is not a transport ship!" Even the most idiotic pirate would recognize that things were going awry. In such a short time, a quarter of their crew was already dead. Should they continue to fight, not many of them would be left. The pirates severed their anchors and made good their escape with their superior speed, leaving the ship behind in hot pursuit. "You want to escape? Keep up, even if we can’t catch them, we must tail them," commanded the captain who had been standing by. Following which, the ship veered and followed in the same direction the pirate ship had fled to.
