I fisted my hands and shoved them into my jeans pockets. Each sob made me want to go back after that scumbag! Why had I let him go so easily? Ten minutes later, Caroline opened the door wide and told me to keep my distance from Aurora for the time being. She was still reeling from her earlier experience and she knew my presence could be intimidating to most humans.
