Adam and I were fully immersed in the scene-even during some of the more intimate shots, I stayed completely professional. Because I knew exactly how much impact the final product would have on our branding. After the first scene wrapped, I went off to the side to drink some water and rehearse my lines. "You did well," Aiden's cool voice suddenly said from beside me. I jumped and turned to find him standing next to me, no idea when he'd shown up. "Mr. Salvatore? What are you doing here?" I asked in surprise. Aiden cleared his throat and put on a cold expression. "As CEO of this company, I have a responsibility to observe all official activities, including ad shoots." Observe? More like supervise me. Still, how long had he been here? Did he see those intimate scenes between Adam and me? Adam walked over just then, handing Aiden a bottle of water. "Here." Aiden took it and twisted off the cap but didn't drink. Adam looked amused. "Aiden, you? Watching something this boring?" Aiden shot him a glare. "Why not?" Adam burst out laughing. "I've filmed plenty of ads for Eclipse Corporation over the past couple years. No matter how much I begged, you never once came to set. But now here you are. Quite the rare sight." He narrowed his eyes suddenly and teased, "You're not here because of Raelyn, are you? Didn't think you had it in you, Aiden-falling for someone." Aiden glared at him. "You talk too much." Adam just grinned and shook his head. "Look, I saw her first. This time, you can't steal her from me." "That's yet to be determined," Aiden replied. 12 7 - D X "Hey, hey! What is this? Are you talking about me like I'm some object?" I put my hands on my hips and pretended to glare at them. "Why don't you two duel for me or something? Winner gets to speak." Aiden scoffed, turned away, and ignored me. Adam stuck out his tongue. I shot him a look and said, "I'm going to the bathroom," before walking away from the pair of headaches. Dear Moon Goddess, I'm working myself to death for what, exactly? Those two brothers really were treating me like an Omega. Grumbling to myself about Aiden and Adam, I headed toward the public restroom near the set. After washing up, I went to the sink to touch up my makeup in the mirror. That's when a familiar figure appeared beside me. I turned and saw someone I hadn't seen in ages-Kendall. Kendall stared at me coldly. "Well, well. Speak of the devil, Raelyn." Seeing her full of hate, I didn't bother engaging. "Ms. Kendall. Doing alright? Found a new job yet?" The moment I said that, her face contorted with rage. "Don't think getting me fired from Eclipse Corporation means I'm finished. You just wait-one day, I'll make you pay!" I replied calmly, "Whatever you say." My indifference only enraged her more. She suddenly raised her hand to slap me. I caught her wrist mid-air, my voice sharp. "Kendall. You really want to do this?" "I do! Raelyn, do you know what I've been through? After getting fired, no company would take me! All because of you! You ruined my life, and I'm going to make you suffer for it!" She lunged at me, trying to grab my hair. I shoved her hard, and she lost her balance, falling backward- crashing her head against the sink. She reached up and touched her head-her hand came back bloody. She immediately pulled out her phone, screaming. "Raelyn! You attacked me! You're going to jail for this!" I smiled, standing there calmly. After everything Adam and Aiden had put me through today, I was already on edge. If Kendall wanted to play, I'd gladly play along. Let's see if she regrets it later. 2/3 16:57 Tue, Aug 5 GG. The police arrived quickly and took both of us in. Kendall's head wound was treated at the hospital before she was brought back to the station for questioning. In the interrogation room, the werewolf officer looked at us both and said, "Let's hear it-what happened?" Before I could say a word, Kendall burst into tears and shouted, "Officer, you have to help me! She pushed me out of nowhere! I was seriously hurt! You have to punish this filthy Omega properly!" "Ms. Kendall, please calm down," the officer said, handing her a tissue. Then he turned to me. "Ms. Beck, is what she said true? Did you attack her out of resentment?" I replied coolly, "It was self-defense." Kendall immediately screamed, "Raelyn, you liar! Look at my head! This injury isn't fake! You'd better admit what you did now-maybe the judge will go easy on you. But if you keep lying, don't blame me for what happens next!" The officer looked at me too. "If it's true, Ms. Beck, I suggest you confess. It'll help your case." I calmly repeated, "It was self-defense." Kendall raised her voice even more, pointing at me. "Officer, don't bother. This Omega's clearly lying through her teeth. Just throw her in jail already!" I smiled faintly. "What if I have proof?" Kendall froze, as if I'd just told her the most ridiculous joke. "Raelyn, please. I dare you to show the proof you have."
